Many men have a reduced libido too. They may also have been affected by prostate cancer or other things such as medication. Its important to discuss intimacy but libido is not the whole picture.

Mine pretty much disappeared a few years ago. I didn't realise how much of a drive it was to pursue other things. I was never great with the girls and I suppose I channelled it all into sports etc. I miss the drive now it's gone, but also as a single guy, I've now got no motivation at all to even date for company. I've no idea if that's normal or not, but not exactly the kind of thing you can discuss with the guys at work.

no, this is what these 4 women think. we don't all think alike. it's an important conversation. many women after menopause actually have an increased libido. real life shouldn't depress men. do you want to not know what your partner thinks? why are men so childish about this?

I suppose my comment was an attempt to make light of the fact that there is often a mismatch in libido between male and female partners when we get into middle age, and yes I realise that doesn't apply to everyone blah blah blah but the trope of men running off with a younger woman or buying a sports car as part of the male menopause is an archetypal joke for a reason.
