There's other details, Plessie can't interact with the Switchboard(Green elevator platforms) but can on donut platforms. Pless can kill every enemies except bullies/Prince Bully, Boom Boom, Pom Pom as he has no access to them. The only obstacles that can make Plessie ninjutsu out is Fire Bars, Bowser's fire blast on land. Others like Fire balls from Fire Piranhas and Spike Bars. On the top of Trickity Tower is an invisible barrier that prevents Plessie from entering to break the only easy way out being the pipe, although if Pless was allowed he'd just poof out and you can use him as a boost and wall jump out from the center of Trickity Tower. Not only gold pipes, but cloud cannons too can make Fury Bowser go away. Bowser Jr laughs at Mario when he gets hit, but gets shocked when Mario loses a life. (Also just a note, Plessie's gender is not very well confirmed. Different sources say different terms)

The health bars above Shadow Luigi and Fury Bowser are the same as in Breath of the Wild. The red colour and the animation when a part disappears (white flash + wipe) are at least very similar.

Pretty sure the reason it draws the shadows at insane distance is because the character drop shadow is actually a projector that need not be culled because it's efficient.

Shadows are very taxing to draw. The game might just be very optimized, or it probably renders low-res shadows at farther distances.
