I mean, it would make sense that it would be the first place Ganondorf attacked. He already killed the guardian, there's no leadership to deal with since the Kokiri are all kids, and he knows Link was a child of the forest by his clothing. The only thing to stop him before might have been the Lost Woods itself, but with the Triforce in hand, the area is completely defenseless. At least the other areas had some level of resistance from the people and their leaders. However short lived that may be.

I’m a huge fan of OOT, so here’s my tips and tricks contribution to the community: The last step of getting the Biggoron’s Sword is a time attack which requires you to deliver the eye drops to the Biggoron in 4 minutes. If you find yourself running out of time at the very top of Death Mountain; you should look for a gossip stone on one of the ledges. Smash it a bunch of times with your sword. That will trigger an animation which will interrupt the timer for a period of 10 or more seconds to tell you the time of the day. Just enough time for you to reach the summit and deliver the eye drops.

Welp, I think I can speak for everyone when I say that this has been an amazing journey. I've been following this series for a couple months now and every single week I got excited for a new upload, it's weird to think that it's finally over (at least OoT). Thank you so much the Looygi Bros for bringing us all those little things we had no idea existed in our favorite game. Here are the best ones: Part 1 #4: Link sneezing animation #5: The Running Man charging into Link #6: Shooting the Hyrule Castle Torches with the Slingshot for Rupees #8: Wearing the Bunny Hood prevents Stalfos to spawn in Hyrule Field #10: Link's "foot tapping" animation wearing the Iron Boots Part 2 #2: Wearing the Iron Boots against Dark Link #3: The Power Crouch Stab also "stores" the Megaton Hammer properties #7: Link's different bouncing height in Bongo Bongo's arena #8: Using Ice Arrows on Bongo Bongo's hands (this one blew my mind) Part 3 #4: Hitting the Cursed Rich Man from behind #8: Wearing the Skull Mask against Keeses and Guays #13: Hookshoting the skulls outside Ganon's Castle, the WINDOWS during the Ganondorf ping-pong match, and the Spirit Temple Statue's nipples Part 4 #8: Blue Bubbles are attracted to Bombs #9: Getting the Business Scrubs out using the Megaton Hammer (especially fun in the secret area of Ganon's Castle) Part 5 #4: The creative ways to dodge the Whirling Scythes in the Shadow Temple #6: The Shooting Gallery Owner sulking Link for not playing the game Part 7 #4.5: Gibdos and Redeads won't notice Link if he is walking slowly #9: Throwing all the Cucco's behind the counter makes the minigame easier (Why haven't I thought of this before) #11: I knew about using the bow during a backflip but your trickshots are solid. Just wanted to say this isn't as easy as the video makes it look! Part 8 #8: The Signs are always Link's height (Seems very obvious to code them this way but for some reason I never paid attention to it) Part 9 #7: Backfliping over the Deku Tree Spiked Log (I'm a part of the "never thought of it" gang) Part 10 #1: Epona complaining about arrows being fired close to her (or other horses in general) #3: Shooting mid-air Part 11 #2: Bombs blocking Spike Traps (nothing to do with the fact that it's my own suggestion) #3: Freezing Blade Traps with Ice Arrows (easily one of my favorites) #8: Big Octo reacting to Bombs by Jumping

I think how OoT handles rupees might be the worst designed thing on the game. The game gives you so many and there are many many ways of earning rupees, but you can carry so few and there is almost no point to them, other than ocassionaly playing minigames to get heartcontainers or some story bits that need rupees. And infinite rupees might be the worst reward possible for every golden skulltula, literally when you are near 100% completion of the game.
@adamx90652 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the golden skulltulas carried the same design philosophy behind korok seeds. Maybe Nintendo believed collecting skulltulas was fun, but collecting all of them was a slog, and so they didn't want to incentivize doing so.
@diegog18532 жыл бұрын
@@adamx9065 Yeah I think that is likely. But to be honest. I kind of prefer the gold star reward, or even better, any kind of cosmetic reward that doesn't do anything, than the rupee reward, which at that point in the game, might aswell be just a congratulations. I think even Yoshi in mario 64 was a better reward, even if giving you extra lives is just as dumb, getting to climb the castle and see yoshi so late into the game is cool by itself and quite a nice suprise for the children that didn't know it was there. And you get to play with the cannon and the cap around the castle. It is something.
@SgvSth2 жыл бұрын
One of the prototypes has a wallet indicating that it could carry 99,999 Rupees. They likely should have reduced it to 9,999 while adding/keeping it in the game.
@diegog18532 жыл бұрын
@@SgvSth Or they can do like majoras mask and have a bank with a higher limit and rewards for filling up the bank or something. And most importantly they need to add anything meaningful to spend the rupees. I think Link between worlds was the best at handling this with the system of renting and buying items. Twilight princess might be a honorable mention with its super expensive armor that uses rupees to get invencibility. Even link to the past had a system to buy arrow and bomb limit upgrades. Ocarina of time really has nothing worthwhile.

I don’t remember if you covered this. Link is able to walk up to ReDeads and Gibdos without being harmed if he is wearing the iron boots. I had known this for a long time. If he draws a weapon, they will become disturbed. However, I discovered something interesting. I discovered that he is also able to walk up to spear moblins while wearing the iron boots as long as the moblins are facing away from him. If they turn to face him, however, they will charge at him - be careful. If Link draws a weapon while standing behind a spear moblin, it will become disturbed and turn and charge. Using the iron boots does not cause club moblins to idle. They will still swing their clubs and avoiding the aftershock is extremely difficult. Also, it seems that it might be able to be done only once. A couple more things: 1. Club moblins do not like ice arrows. They are defeated after Link’s second ice arrow. It takes 3 of any other arrow, however, to defeat a club moblin. 2a. If 1 of Bongo Bongo’s hands is shot with an ice arrow, it will use its other hand to punch the frozen one. 2b. While Bongo Bongo is punching its frozen hand, its eye is vulnerable. However, Link’s shot must be quick and accurate to stun the boss. Incidentally, the freezing blade trap technique proves useful in both the Water Temple and Ganon’s Spirit Trial (original quest layout only). I did discover, however, that they are not frozen indefinitely. They do eventually thaw and resume their standard movement.

@@renakunisaki Ah I was not sure what all had been covered. I saw a lot of things covered in the videos. But, there is probably plenty more that even Looygi Bros. has not yet discovered. I constructed a document in which I had likened life to the game of Marble Drop ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marble_Drop ). I considered doing another such document using The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. However, because of the complexity of that game (particularly the deep spiritual and theological concepts that can be extracted), constructing that document would be much more difficult. I loved these videos! In every single one of them I learned something new about this game, and the last part of the video was a nice way to introduce us to the new series.

Link jumping into the Goron vase into MM has the same energy as those memes with “Hey you, you’re finally awake” from Skyrim lmao

I love this channel, it's the only one with good enough info to justify no narration

So hyped for the majora's mask videos, these were an awesome mix of nostalgia and learning new things about a game I thought I knew t bunch about. If your MM videos are half as good as your ocarina videos I'll be devouring them!

Nice videos. I knew the one about the bugs, as well as the Hover Boots on those sinking platforms.

This series have been really fun, they started being posted as soon as I started playing Ocarina of Time for the first time recently, so it was really fun having the game and this series going along
