@@aquarius113 personally i don’t experience many side affects from either of these medications. the only side affect i tend to get is sleepiness from lorazepam, nothing extreme though, quite similar to taking a benadryl or gravol that could cause drowsiness. if you don’t mind me asking are you taking either currently?

Why did he not mention withdrawal symptoms, like feeling like you are about to die, vomiting and severe depression/anxiety. It is easy to start taking these drugs but hard to stop i would have thought he would mention this as it so important. Or maybe that his game, take away some anxiety but get you hooked so you keep coming back.

The peak of my dosage of Ativan was 10mgs daily. I think I took more on a couple of occasions because my tolerance was so high. This was on accident due to the brain fog and damn near amnesia. Sometimes I missed my appointments and had to switch to Valium temporarily or have nothing at all it was horrible. Benzos with a longer half life are better in my opinion.

Help? I’m currently been taking clonazapm for 2years now but sometimes I feel like a bobble head and fatigue here n there. At first I felt great when I started to take them like my social anxiety went away and had a cleared mind now that I’m used to it I still feel the same unless I take it on empty stomach. I just now switched to 1mg lorazepam would this one do me any better? Don’t get me wrong I’ve tried Xanax before and those felt greatly relaxed and calm and I could talk to anyone since I’m more on the quiet side.

These medications are absolutely amazing for anxiety and panic, they really can change your life when used correctly, but please PLEASE only take them when absolutely needed, and never exceed the prescribed dose!

I was on 4 mg klonopin for years…took 9 months to get off & feel normal. Im not a NP (almost) writing a paper on effectiveness of oral Diazepam (Valium) Vs (Alprazolam) Xanax. Wondering if medications like Alpidem & things akin should be researched more for sure.

@@ATT470 yeah I like Xanax better but short half life but I’m Asian so it might last longer . Klonopin doesn’t do much I have a tolerance already, even though it’s like the longest half life along with Valium I don’t find any effect from klonopin like I do with Xanax .

Butran (Buprenorphine patches) deliver per hour. 5mcg per 24hrs = .120mg/day. The largest one delivers 20mcg x 24hr= .450mg/day or about 0.5mg per day for the largest. By contrast, Belbuca gum patches are taken every 12hrs. The largest is .900mg/dose or 900mcg per dose or 900 x 2 =1.8mg/day. The smallest 75mcg patch, or 0.075mg x 2= 0.150mg/day or 150mcg/day. Now contrast that with the oral Subutex pill. The smallest pill is 2mg or 2000mcg. You take those up to 3X/day. Note: 1.8mg/day or 1800mcg/day is compared with 160mg/morphine equivalent (max). Not necessarily for pain but to prevent withdrawal.

Im on Clonazepam for my sleep disorder, i have 27 arousals per hour so i never get into a proper cycle of sleep, this drug is making me extremely weak the next day, will this pass? I should also mention i have severe sleep apnea at 55 per hour, i use a CPAP. Any help please, i am suffering massively!

Clonazepam is longer lasting, not “hitting “ as hard as Xanax, but clonopin has a longer half life meaning the timeline for seizures is much longer upon stopping.

Actually Btomazepam is =) Like diazepam, its has all 5 benzo characteristics and slightly moreso in equivilent mg dosages. Vey surprised its not prescribed more often in Australia. I convinced my GP years ago to let me have a shot and fast forward to today he loves it.

@drugtalk Would you say Clonazepam is more effective at treating general anxiety and sleep problems etc than Etizolam which I have been using for a while because it causes great euphoria and my anxiety vanishes and I’m way more productive.. my story is a very long one but yeah I live in the UK were I can’t even get prescribed diazepam which is mad no matter how much I try seeing multiple gps so I have to order Etizolam online at very expensive prices! Plus Just ordered the Clonazepam and received first lot this morning Your help would be greatly appreciated! 😀
