Lord Giddens currently sits as a Labour Peer in the House of Lords. He was an advisor to former Prime Minister Tony Blair and notably guided him in the implementation of his 'Third Way' centrist policy. He is also one of the most renowned modern sociologists in recent history. Giddens was formerly Director of the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
