By some of the comments, I can see there is a hip-hop ignorance. Lord Jamar is one of the best. People can get in their emotions about his remarks about Eminem but it's his feelings, his views. Eminem can speak for himself. Eminem is a great lyricist but to some of us all he raps about is pills, Hailey, the ex wife now wife now ex wife he's tried to either kill or has murdered on umpteen different tracks, his drugged out moms, etc. Now I'm sure somewhere there is someone who will say his lyrics changed their life. That's fine. Jamar is speaking for a culture that many of us miss. Has nothing to do with color. Hell, Prime Minister Sinister Pete Nice had some of the rawest lyrics I ever heard & they were straight hip-hop. Em is dope when I first him around 94, 95. When he was with Rawkus back when he used to rock with Beanie Siegel, BlackStar, Raw the Rugged Man. He was fiyya. He got with Aftermath & all his joints went dark even more dark than they already were. Jamar is just commentating on what he sees. Like it or not.
@ratro845 жыл бұрын
People that think that is all Em raps about have never listened. Not even 1% of his content.
@Kemozabe5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for saying that, Jamar him self has said Em is dope but content wise its not his cupnof tea, which I agree with, these people just butthurt and clasify everything as hate when you got an opinion, but nobody complained when Conway who is signed to Em agreed with Jamar, and Royce didn't even mentioned that, but they quick to come at Jamar for his thoughts!!

Jason Russell He was the weakest in Brand Nubian though, 1 solo album and he bangs on about 5% mecca crap. Eminem still going strong i only recently listened to Kamikaze and i honestly liked it, i was skeptical at first i noticed he likes bragging a lot these days that's one thing. Anyway nothing compared to his old stuff but in 2019 it was a breath of freshness in an age of shitty rappers. Think about it how many rappers discographies do you keep up with?? I can count mine i follow on 1 hand and Eminem is probably one of them, i just wish he'd cut it out with the irritating angry voice gimmick and the shitty ballad singles.

@@jomarcoliverman4971 none of those cats you listed have the longevity of continuous dope shit except maybe Tragedy. None of those cats are on Sadats level, to me at least. Although I love Starang Won(main gun)...Love Killa Sin and Killah Priest(Heavy Mental is one of the best lyrical songs of alltime) Pace and all those cats are mad nice but dont have the standout skills mixed with standout voices and deliveries that put them up there. And again, thats just to me. Its all opinion, my dude. Starang and Priest are the closest to Dotty X as far as the total package and all the attributes I mentioned earlier. Voice,Flow,clever...an MC can be mad nice with his word play and all but if your voice amd delivery dont make you stand out, to me i just cant stay interested when there are so many cats with unique voices that do keep my interested. And I really need my fav cats to be funny. Just like the people i like to spend time with, intelligent, funny people who talk about grown up, interesting things. Peace, my dude.

Everything Remains Raw Podcast you misunderstood what I was saying I was saying I believe Sadat gets his props as a dope emcee because people do bring him up but the cats I mentioned never get mentioned and I don’t think zee and pace lack anything lyrically it’s they beats to be honest the fugees took they whole style and ran with it and became one of the greatest selling hip hop groups of all time and one some real if you really wanna talk about the most underrated emcee of all time the real answer is busta rhymes he’s the most underrated emcee of all time when cats mention goats he’s never in the top ten and he should be he’s the embodiment of an emcee he has a million different styles he’s creative unique brings energy to a track and on damn near every track he’s on he has the best verse I don’t care who’s on the track with him he can do party records gritty hip hop and commercial joints for the radio his live shows are insane and he’s been rocking since like 90-91 and still can get on a track and make any nigga look foolish with they style busta is the most underrated emcee of all time fam he should be in everybody top ten

Grand Puba is indeed a legend though. If you don't know, go do some homework.
@leehudson11715 жыл бұрын
Okay this is easy to settle. Puba needs to keep it as "Bruce" since the line is a "real GOLD WINNER like..." If Bruce thinks he's some new person now than he shouldn't get credit for the Olympic gold medal to his new imaginary persona. Either that or compete again as whatever new madeup identity.

Jamar has a lot of nerve refusing to call Jenner what he/she wants to be called. When people tell you what to call them have respect and do it. Calling Muhammad Ali Cassius Clay after he told you not to is an insult. I suspect "Lord Jamar" is not on this dude's birth certificate but we call him that because he asked us to. Treat others as you want to be treated.

Say what you want but u have to respect the fact that he has his own mind. We live in a world where the masses or majority of all think the same based off societal propaganda.
