Thanks for the videos Joardee! The bone spikes, are they normally affected by cleave or so you need to specifically target them? (Kobolds on Northrend Beasts type situation or no?)

you mention the max range targetting for bone storm. Did you notice if it was reliable enough to have your tanks on each side of the back of the room and then stack the raid in the middle? So the 2 tanks are always the furthest away? Debating whether to try this or just go with tanks and hunters spread out around the room etc.

When looking in the logs it looks as even though the bonestorm is physical, it is not mitigated by armor. Inspiration/Ancestral Fortitude do help and so does raid sac, but devo aura + AM doesnt seem to do anything since armor doesnt mitigate the hits. This could be why there was some mention of a 'bleed'. Not because there actually is a bleed debuff or any damage over time effect. Instead its probably because the spin behaves similar to a bleed in that its physical dmg that ignores armor.

Depending on what PTR does, I have not seen a bleed of what you described in any old videos or documents, not to mention that theres an aggro reset where DPS gotta chill a bit. Should be interesting nontheless, if this guy is actually 2 tankable I will take the chance, for HC I defo gonna run 3.

The flame doesn't hurt people hit by spikes, unless they changed it, when I did it I took zero damage from the flame while spiked.

Its worth noting that Bone Spikes are supposed to be cast during Bone Storm on Heroic, but this wasn't working on the last round of PTR testing.

@@FrostClawAO I don't know what warmane is, I am assuming a private server of wotlk? I'm basing this statement on my own memory of wotlk, as well as old guide resources which stated the same. Granted, now I'm wondering if those resources were incorrectly updated based on some private server stuff... Gonna go check some old heroic VoDs from back in the day to sate my own curiousity.

If Marrow always dashes to the farrest non-melee target (by non-melee i mean someone who is not in melee range), then why isnt the base tactic to stack under boss 24/7 and let marrow dash from center to door then back to center etc. ?

if no one is in range during bonestorm he just blades the raid and you will probably all die. Also I think their is an issue with the fires in phase 1 if not enough are outside like Vesax.

But you will keep 1 hunter at the door. And everyone else under boss's hitbox. So Marrow will always dash to the hunter. After Marrow is at the door then everyone follows him so they are "marked" as melee and the only people in range are the tanks, so Marrow goes to them. Then repeat.@@roujin518

why not use the healers on each corner instead of hunter? Makes more sense in my eyes since they have very long range on their heals? and hunters can keep pumping during storm.

Are you talking about heroic? If so, you might encounter the enrage timer with 3 tanks and 5 healers. Or your healers simply go oom.

We did 3 tanks on PTR and it worked well.

3 tanks is smart for dad guilds, the cleave cone is wider than expected and we've seen DPS get cleaved in random spots (basically behind the boss) but on our second PTR attempt we noticed if there are 3 tanks it always hits the tanks. It's a decent strat for added safety for both tanks and DPS

Hunters lose a LOT of uptime if they are going to be pingponging boss only as range is a problem. Best is to let the hunter take the first spin and afterwards group up with the others (disengage into middle). Tanks can spread out as he allways spins 5 times and they can regroup before he starts attacking again. Its a minor thing but more dps means boss dies easier

Just use 2 hunters to stand at the door. Rest of the raid can stack under the boss. By doing this ur fwars can cleave down the spikes super easy

2 things u are wrong. u need 3 tanks to soak. the bone slice ability hits the target + 2 nearest targets. if u have 2 tanks u have 2 targets not 3. that means that 1 dps might go 1hit go graveyard. the second is when he stops spinning (bonestorm), he resets his position AND his aggro. so let the tanks 2-3 secs to rebuild a good chunk of aggro. it doesnt hurt to be carefull

Unironically suggesting 2 tanks 5 heals? Its 3 tanks 6 heals, if you think you'll be 2 tank 5 healing day 1, im happy that you're in a 1% guild, aka you shouldnt be watching this guide for strategy. No mention of taunt immunity or threat reset after bonestorm No mention of bonespikes during bonestorm No mention of flames being managed by the tanks, or in phase 2. Mentioning a bleed that never existed Low effort as usual.

@@Booth- You're a chump if you're 3 tank, 6 healing this. 3 Tanks, 5 Heals max if you're struggling. If you have to 6 heal, your raid team has zero clue how to dodge mechanics and survive, or your 5 core healers are utter trash. You should easily be able to 2 Tank, 5 Heal this fight.
