There were many more elves earlier in the battle and when the messenger returned to detail that the dwarves would not be coming, it showed a camera angle that portrayed very few remaining elf soldiers in the river bed facing the oncoming orcs but it's important to remember that this is a battle that the elves lose so their numbers would be dwindling by the end.

This show is trash. 😂 sauron has dark Phoenix powers now. Telekinesis was not something sauron could do. And sauron in this series is only good at manipulation because the characters are all so stupid a fish could manipulate them. I've wasn't tricked once. I was waiting for him to kill the little blond elf girl assistant. That's so easy to predict. They even gave it away when he said he'd make sure she got what she deserves when the times right. Like yep he's gonna kill her. Anyone fooled that he might be somewhat good is just a moron. This show isn't good at making him manipulative. It just tells you over and over he's the master of deception and makes anyone that talks to him stupid as hell. When celebrimbor said he was sauron those elf warriors should have instantly agreed with celebrimbor. Honestly celebrimbor should have never let it get this far. Anyone could see something wasn't right from the second he turned into anatar. Horrible writing doesn't help it either.

I cant lie i never thought id say this but my favourite TV show this entire year has been rings of power season 2, calembrimbor and sauron actors have been emmy worthy, the action has been well Choreographed, the cgi and production costume design has been INCREDIBLE, the music score is perfect, the writing has seen a vast improvement and the cinematography continues to capture the perfect blend of Newzealand and middle earth. 9/10 season compared to season 1 which id probably give 6.5 or 7/10, the haters are doing my head in because they are coming at this show in a emotionally unstable manner and just review bombing it 1/10 which is stupid

When the sun came up shining in the elves I thought it was over and the city had another day to live, as the orcs will burn.. then I thought of the orcs wearing white tunics as they did in the southlands.. but no.. all of a sudden orcs can walk in the morning sun.. what the? Even though Morgoth was much weakened he still commanded Balrogs, Dragons which Sauron wasn't able to replicate. I really wanted to like the show because I love Tolkien and the universe he made but this show just ret cons so much about the middle earth universe I can't look over it. @ArvinJWilliams I agreed with the comment above that maybe you should try to look at the show from a different perspective of someone who loves a good television. However for me, I do not actively hate the show as most ppl, but unless they start advertising that this show is a parody then there should be no reason for me to laugh at the decisions making of most characters 😂. Even as a watcher, I will admit to skipping most of the hobbit scenes and have found the show flow way better personally. This episode 7 was probably the best episode yet in the entire series, but there are a few directive decisions that I can not defend 1. People watch fantasy medieval battle shows like this love a good cavalry charge smashing against ranks of Orcs, and the writers must know this about their audience, so why take that away from them? 2. The scene where Elrond walking with his elf warrior out of the Orc camp just seem so out of the place to me like they owned the place. They are walking and talking casually without a sense of danger when they are in enemy camp. (Even if this was after the negotiations with Adar, but it just seems so out of place) 3. The flow of the battle is a it all over the place. And then one of the most weird things is that the writer wrote this female elf archer to have an epic moment sacrifice, but who is she ???? Can't we not have Arondir do it and make it more epic? Those are just a few objection points that even I, as casual watcher of the show, do not like. And you can see that I didnt even mention any lore breaking parts of the show because frankly at this point I do not care anymore and just watch the show for good entertainment but this ep took a few fun away from me. So now you can start to see why ppl that love tolkien or peter jackson lotr really trash this show.

I agree watching it I was totally locked in this episode. Then I go online and see all the whiners crying about a kiss or wtv. That could of been the last time elrond ever saw galadriel so it makes sense. A kiss isn't always sexual in nature.

I think it's the uncanny valley effect. If you read and love the books, the differences can trigger a deep reaction to things that are "off". I might enjoy the show if it didn't sell itself as a Tolkien story.

I dont get how Sauron can control all the rings unless the One Ring has already been forged. Which was forged in secret wasnt it? I hope they reveal Sauron has the ring this whole season since he went to Mordor the end of last season. I think none of his powers or the effect the rings has on everyone who wears them makes any sense unless the One Ring is already made. It also makes no sense that Sauron has these magic powers so suddenly this season when he had no magic powers in season 1 at all. Then suddenly when he presents himself as Annatar to Celembrimbor he has these powers. I have a huge issue with Celembrimbor cutting his thumb off when the man was handcuffed to his tool bench and had every tool at his disposal. He used the cutty thing to take his thumb off but didnt bother putting the chain in it instead? Theres no way that Celembrimbor the lord of Eregeon the best smith in the entire world would rather cut his own thumb off and admit defeat from a handcuff. He had EVERY tool at his disposal there was no excuse for it

I think Celebrimbor will have an influence on the 9 rings now that he's aware of who Halbrand actually is. This is probably why Sauron didn't need to concentrate his power into a ring to control the 3 and the 7, but now he's gotta adjust his business plan. Edit: I like your idea of Sauron having already made the one ring. However, I also REALLY want to see him make it. :0

A few thoughts not that I have the answers: - sauron's always had magic. He's a giant bag of black gooe from the time of morgoth. - sauron has added magic into all the rings throughout the forging, highlighted more so by weaving his blood into the rings. - the shackles in my opinion are part of sauron's magic and illusion where the only thing celeb could do was sacrifice his own person as part of his corruption and redemption.

They should have cast Todd Howard as Calenbrimbor. Releases the rings knowing they have glirches as was like 'i will fix it in a patch' and never does. Bethesda = Sauron pushing to release it anyway.

Although its true name and particular history are unknown, this Balrog eventually became an important figure during the War of the Ring after being awakened by the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm and was named based on the slaying of Durin VI in TA 1980. It was not until the Fellowship of the Ring had passed through Moria and inadvertently reawakened the Balrog that it was finally slain in a great duel with the wizard Gandalf. So it isn't Durin III who gets slain by the Balrog, it's Durin IV. It heralded the dwarves evacuating Khazad-dûm after Durin the IV's death. Thereafter the Balrog was named as Durin's Bane. It was after the Dwarves left that the Orcs took up residence in Moria, as it was then called by the Elves.
