Lord of the Wine - Timothy Keller [Sermon]

Tim Keller sermons via Gospel in Life: Why did Jesus use his powers for something as trivial as replenishing wine at a party? It is because he knows that history will ultimately end at another feast, the wedding supper of the Lamb. Jesus sits in sorrow at this wedding party as he thinks of the price he will have to pay in order to invite us to the ultimate wedding party. He offers us his wine so we may taste God and know joy.

Jesus does the will of the Virgin Mary even though his time has not yet come. Jesus always obeys his mother and his mother always listen to our needs. As Christian's we should all be as one doing the will of God , salvation is alive in us even though we have not entered heaven we experience heaven on earth because we are born again and the Holy Spirit is alive in us. The Kingdom of heaven is alive with Christian's celebrating which in sharp contrast to the break away modern Christian point of view portraying it as a purely personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Excellent message. There is one thing missing. Pastor Kellor encourages us to have the joyful heart of the bride of Christ approaching her groom but he does not explain how to have this joy. It cannot be fabricated by our emotions. This joy comes only from the Holy Spirit. It is both a fruit from our living connection with Jesus but also it is a gift. The gift of joy will come when by the Holy Spirit we have a revelation of what it means for us to be the bride of Christ. Through a rhema living word our hearts and minds will be opened to not only understand but also to walk in the truth by a special gift of faith that will accompany the revelation. To God be the glory, by his grace he fully equips us!
