I actually thought of this, learning to play the game by yourself would prob keep more players around as they aren't completely obliterated by some random Power 20, the immersion, without the fear of being jumped, would make deepwoken both an intense game, but also quite relaxing and laid-back when you're out of battle.

Regent bossfight will likely never happen (at least not any time soon) because, as stated by Maestro Evengarde Rest, Etrea wouldn't be able to hold off the Authority if he wasn't there. The main reason the Authority doesn't attack Etrea is because of their fear of the regent's power, although his goal is actually to bring Etrea to war with them and sink it into the depths. For a fight with the regent to happen, something like Helldivers 2's liberation system would have to be present, with everyone coming together to fight back the Authority and save Etrea from another great drowning. While it IS a possibility, we won't see it any time in the near future because of how slowly Deepwoken developers work, and it would most likely be an ongoing thing in the server after you defeat the regent (something like you defeat the regent and then the Etris raid event happens but on a much larger scale, with Isle of Vigils being attacked too).

Also I'm gonna do a little assumption here and say that using the Tempest Eye is probably taxing on Maestro, if not taking an incredible amount of ether then probably taxing him in some other way.

I could imagine the devs advancing the story by sending some royal etrean guards to vigil to attempt to kill maestro, who absolutely get slaughtered, after they get wiped. Maestro sends stratos as a messenger to lord regent to let him know what’s coming in the future. However since lord regent is a bot he cuts off stratos’ head with his contractor stuff and sends it back to maestro on a plate. This will then enrage maestro as stratos is (probably) one of his closest allies or friend. Through baiting maestro with stratos’ death we’ll see him enter etris and start an epic battle.

i think some sort of mini phase when he transitions into his second phase would be cool, kinda like a quick time event from god of war or sonic unleashed, seeing that the interrogator had his mind affected by lord regent from a simple guard it would be cool to see our characters try to overcome this mind control with a minigame/quick time event and if you make it out first and your with other players u can see them on the ground trying to get up. another cool addition i'd like to see is if your with others and they fail this event they become apart of the 2nd phase bossfight and fight along lord regent using their mantras and having their talents, and to snap them out of it you must bring the clone to around 50% - 25% hp and when they get out of this mind control they will start with this hp. and if you are alone id say u just get sent to depths. tho im not sure if this much effort would be put in a boss or if its even possible with roblox engine but hey its a concept.

since the glorious king zachhhh hearted this ill add a bit more to it. i'd expect if your build has 30 or above willpower this quick time event is SLIGHTLY easier. ( i would want any build to be able to fight this boss so only slightly ) in terms of what you will actually do in this quick time event i would either like you pressing buttons on your keyboard in a certain order similar to a domain clash in sorcerer battlegrounds or mashing m1 or a certain key similar to active time maneuver from ffxiv. im not too familiar with the lore of the queensblade but it would be cool if it were like the blasphemous blade from elden ring, a medium straight sword/heavy greatsword with black tendrils all over the blade, moving and squirming around as if the tendrils were alive; as if the lord regent truly isnt dead.

If a bossfigbt were to happen, then it would likely involve some other type of quest in which you assemble the necessary items to destroy or cut him off from the coral throne. Seeing as how he one shots power 20s while on it, I feel like a bossfight would require us to disable it in some way.

I'd like to think that lord regent uses his tendrils to grip you, but you unsheathe the purple cloud to cut them. Sadly most likely won't happen, because it'd be medium locked. The other weapons could do the same, but it's not the same as the lore behind the purple cloud.

So I can imagine the boss fight with us destroying the throne while Maestro does the heavy work since he is stronger than us, and when there is a moment where Lord Regent is "down" like chaser when his jars break, both you and maestro start attacking him at the same time

come to think of it before the lord regen fight we surely will have an authority fight due to evengarde not wanting to attack regen cuz of authority beeing to strong for him to handle on his own, so i see 2 things: 1: maestro will send you on an invasion on the authority, alloying you to fight regen where he either tries or actually get him off the throne and gets gutted/mind controlled and you have to fight regen. 2: you tell maestro "fuck it we ball" and go beat regen up (maestros would be like a random even and appear and attack once and dip or would be an npc which would be hard) and either ya both lose or you win and an authority invasion happens

We can't have a lord regent boss fight Simply because hes too strong. A special thing occurs when you spit on Maestro, where tempest eye pops on the screen and insta kill you. If Maestro and Lord Regent are on the same level, than most likely Lord Regent can 1 shot you if he wants to. The best thing will probably be Maestro and the player coming together to kill him or even Maestro doing it by himself while you fight of the authority invasion
