Great tutorial, I love your channel guys! I have a question about mic placement: I've seen some people use tube mics vertically as you have in this video, and I've also seen people suspend them upside down to avoid problems with "warmth?" . what is your take on this and what would you recommend?

I got interested in her because of Jamiroquai, I thought she was a terrific backing vocal, but I was very pleasantly surprised when listening her solo album ´´For what it is¨. I am so sorry that I took me so long to discover Valerie.

thx for the info. i've been using a rode nt2. works well but i liked the high end of that mic in the video (and the price vs the old industry standards is astounding.-). it's a terrific video. applause and appreciation for all involved.

It's easier to sing with lordes genre when the beats is not that loud while singing.
