This artwork is extremely intelligent and underrated. The inner child is represented by the girl in the white dress, the pink one symbolizes the teenager, and the third figure represents maturity. At the beginning, we see the teenager with her baggage. At 1:09, you can observe how these two lean on the mature one, and at the end, they interact with the inner child, allowing her to feel seen and heard at 2:21.Throughout the artwork, you can witness how they communicate, striving to find harmony and balance with each other.

Most people are just unhappy about Lorde being her own person rather than another popular commodity on display. All of her albums are about her own growth and thoughts. Self love is: Remember all the hurt you would feel when you weren’t desired? Remember what you thought was grief before you got the call? Baby girl, no one’s gonna feel the pain for you You’re gonna love again, so just try staying open And when the time comes, you’ll fall But self love is also: I care for myself the way I used to care about you.

The lyrics are so deep and the fact that it’s a sequence of ribs..oof. I can’t wait to hear this on the beach at summertime :) this album feels cozy cool and playful, even if it has some deep songwriting. It’s like, there’s another perspective of life, a new way to deal with your problems that has nothing to do with feeling the weight of sadness in your chest. This outro describes it perfectly. thank you Ella

i love how with each Lorde represents her past albums and who she was and what she felt and what those albums were supposed to be. Lorde with the cherry black lipstick obviously represents Pure Heroine. So young, so naive, so full with teenage emotions hence her movements throughout the video. Lorde in the neon pink outfit represents Melodrama. Melodrama was basically an album made for party and hook up culture (the bed, the furniture in the video that might represent the aftermath of a party). And finally, Lorde in the sunflower shirt; Solar Power. Grown up, mature, and full of wisdom. I also like to think that the sunflower on her shirt is a reference to her song “The Path” i.e “I just hope the sun will show us the path.” I think she’s hinting that maybe the sun *did* show her the path after all. that or im just sleep deprived.

Empoderada 😭⚘🛐
