It was however an interesting story so I decided to do a part 2 on it and for all those watching, the discussion of the Nukes is around 14:00 minutes or so if youd like to check that out. Not sure how accustomed you are to the SCP site, but you could easily find biological SCPs through the tag system. SCP objects, tales as well as additional documents are sorted through tags. The tags you'll most likely want to check are: Biological, Virus, Bacteria, Parasitic, Organic. Just putting this out there so that you may find interesting (possibly not widely known) SCPs that you can analyse more easily.

fulcrum 29 In all honesty, I have been too afraid to do any further research into it. However, from what I remember, I think the “disease” behaves as some sort of airborne pathogen. Once the Thing’s cells enter your body, they imitate your body’s own and grow in number. And then, when your body is completely assimilated, the Thing mutates your body once there is another “host” nearby (like another human being), and attacks them in an effort to assimilate them as well.

An interesting detail you looked over is 610's ability to interface with technology. You read one log in which a drone's camera moved on its own, but there is another in which a camera is absorbed by a small 610 creature, subsequently becoming a functional part of its body acting like an eye.

I'm pretty sure it mentioned in the article that 610 hadn't infected the ground water. I don't know about airborne spread as it's been a while since I've read it, but it's mostly spread through physical contact. For a nuclear weapon to really do any good, they would have to find the epicenter of the infection and get the device there . I'm no geologist, but I'm pretty sure detonating a nuke under ground, would have some pretty serious consequences.

I agree, the one test didnt show signs but it is still viable in water, so it could still in theory spread by water, the spores appear to be it achieving airborne potential and detonating a nuke underground may work, but the fallout might cause more issues than just keeping a perimeter up

I have an interesting question for this. I know the scp foundation is messed up and all, but why don't they build an army of robots to at least perform attacks on 610? This would lower casualties and reduce the number of infected possibly. It's shown only limited capacity to affect machines. (probably just moving it via one of the infected, but it's unclear) The scp foundation has some insane technology and we are already reaching a point where it's possible to attempt something like this.

18:05 The Sarkic cult? Possibly a Proto-Sarkic cult due to the (apparent) focal point of the infection being an older and non-modern village? (Which could also explain why the spread of the infection went unnoticed for so long) Edit: Now that I have read up on the Sarkic cult in greater detail the "biomass" that covers the surfaces around an infection's "assumed" starting point shows severe similarity to both an SK-BIO Type 007 and SK-BIO Type 005 ( in the case of the type 005 it is more along the lines of the sacrificed person "becoming" the structure at least in terms of the "Anointing" phase and the type 007 not attempting to absorb others into it's own biomass)
