I think the relationship between Rory and Lorelai is wonderful, and everything a mother/daughter duo would want. I honestly think think more about the Emily/Lorelai relationship when I hear this song. There would have been a point in Lorelais life she realised she felt alone, probably a young young age, and a point in Emily’s (though she may not have ever showed it) that she realised in a lot of ways, she was alone too. They were more alike than either would admit and I think because of their differences they missed out on so much with each other. Which breaks my heart. In the reboot you see more of Emily’s vulnerability and humanity than I think you do at any point in the series. I genuinely think Emily is one of the most relatable and well developed characters in the whole show, at least for me.

Let me just leave this here. Gilmore girls has to be one of my favorite shows. No let me rephrase, IT is my favorite show. When you watch it you get this type of feeling no other show gives. I love it. I think I love it so much is because of the way you never get bored. Never. No matter what you always come back and find something new. One of the other reasons is the way you can really feel the characters and there emotions. Yes the characters and the show itself has many defaults, but it will always be my favorite show. Thank you
