While Sydnie freely admits she’s singing Loren’s version, Loren was a class act. Sydnie told a British morning television show the morning after her BGT win that Loren sent her a very positive video message about her performance in the finals. All that being said, both women are gorgeous human beings and deserve bright careers.

If you watch the interview on the tv show. Sydnie says she uses Lorens version but the singing coach changed it enough to make it a bit different from LorenS version. Loren also told her to do it and not worry. Both versions are amazing.

Sydney’s voice is powerful as well but her rendition is not distinct enough. Sounds like she heard Loren’s part and came to sing the exact same copy, with an added head voice note to the “true” part near the end.

both are lovely. What stood out for me with Sydney is that her voice is unmistakable. I can pick her out if I heard her on the radio. Her key change was perfect and timing was great, like a well timed narration; didn't try to stick to the 4/4 but sang the notes with heart. Loren performance was great but Sydney's the one that gave me goosebumps. Cant underestimate. the goosebumps..

I prefer Sydnie. Her dynamic range and control are better, and her voice has more depth and richness. Her emotion is so well communicated through the song. I love Loren too though, and haven’t forgotten that this arrangement is hers. Loren’s voice is pretty, and her technique is fantastic, but Sydnie has it, and note the changes she made to the arrangement. Stunning!

I really see strengths in certain parts of each of their performances. So, I really can't choose between them, nor do I really wish, too. Both were excellent I feel. First time I heard Loren version. I think on the very top notes Loren had slightly more clarity on pronunciation. Like the word somewhere in middle of song. But i think what makes sydnie special is she carries this emotion in her voice and makes it swell within you when you hear her sing. The inflection and voice level changes she weaves in her performances to create that emotional feeling is just a unique skill set. I hope she gets the right talent agent to push her career along and not waste this golden opportunity for her.

They are both incredible performances, but I feel like Sydnie added a little too much vocal running for my taste, compared to Loren's which could have been a studio recording, her pitch and cadence was perfect. Sydnie bounced a little behind and ahead of the music a bit, which might have been intentional, but not my preference for this song. Sydnie is definitely the better performer, she's stage trained, and is a phenomenal singer, so there is no right answer to which performance you liked better here. But if you want to know who actually sang it better, just watch 1:09 - 1:30 for Loren and 3:33 - 3:53 for Syndie. Loren's was perfect on ONE breath, which is insane, Syndie took THREE extra breaths to get through there. Loren's pitch, tone, breath control, and power there are absolute perfection. Again, we're all nit picking here, both women are incredible talents. But if I'm listening on my headphones with no video, I'd listen to Loren's all day.
