You don't trial a warcriminal until after he was dishonorably discharged*, if you trialed and executed a soldier who is doing just as much to defend his people as his fellow loyalists* then what you get are civilians* calling out to higher brass demanding them to step down from power. *1. Cheaters, griefers, and people who divert from the intended play style, getting banned or punished in some other way before being proven to be bad for the player base *2. They're doing their job, they're just deciding on their own what is important instead of following rewards given through events. So not really something a dystopian military could punish. *3. People will straight up boycott if they had to and even in roleplay perspective, you REALLY don't want civilian people to start second guessing trusting your army if you say some soldier is evil for saying something like "you're making my job harder, I'm not listening to you until I can trust you"

The amount of griefers that have been ruining missions I've been in has skyrocketed when they first became popular (especially so on major order planets). Chaos Divers make no sense lore wise, IMO. - Traitors are automatically tracked. Everything down to the equipment they field is tracked and monitored. If you step out of line, the Super Destroyer automatically calls down howitzers to atomize you. Unless they somehow can convince a ship full of operators to unite under a traitor’s banner, the on board Democracy Officer would’ve taken care of them the minute they step out of the cryopod. - Chaos Divers claim they don’t follow major orders, but that’s a blanket statement. Does that mean anyone who’s deployed elsewhere is automatically a Chaos Diver? - Chaos Divers, by name, means they sow chaos, meaning confusion, dissent, etc. How does a faction do that by simply not following MO’s? - All, if not most, art that depicts Chaos Divers, depicts them as Automaton aligned and allied. Again, this makes no sense for the aforementioned reasons, and the Automatons care not for the reasons of treason; Simply put, you are a human, and thus you must die. - Most Chaos Divers, when the trend first started, called for active disruption of gameplay. When the reaction was nearly completely negative by the public, they back stepped and said ‘ TK’ing is not our goal ‘, which is odd for a group that calls themselves CHAOS Divers. Overall I understand the grievances, but Chaos Divers are flawed from the ground up. It’s merely a trending outlet for frustrated players to air out their complaints, but now it’s turned into a banner for trolls and griefers.

Angel diver here and well let me say that letting a large factor or small stay and attack other things that they feel is right like stopping terminids while the major order is in automaton territory is a good idea due to the fact that well the bugs can be annoying

I doubt the pacifist Chaos divers can be considered actual Chaos divers even if they do or do not make up the majority. From what I'm seeing the pacifist chaos diver's form of resistance is not taking part in major orders, if that were the end of it they would be negitively impacting the Federation, and because of that, it would make sense to treat them as their own faction (or lack of), since they would make enough of a difference to seperate them from the regular status quo Helldiver. The issue is that, that is not where it ends, and that I have read a fair few comments that seem to be written by self identifying Chaos divers describing themselves as having not quit the war, and are instead acting as sort of auxileries, never fighting on the front line, but still fighting. This practically turns them back into regular Helldivers, as the very act of combat against exclusively factions opposing the Federation, benefits the Federation. The griefers, whos title come from their disposition to causing "grief" are a direct and undeniable disbeneficial group to the Federation, I feel as though I do not have to explain how their methods of mission sabotage make them so, and will not. So, as stated earlier, even if the majority of players, Helldiver and "Chaos Diver" were to consider the faction as pacifistic in nature, the griefers who label themselves as part of that faction would be more far more suitable for the role and title than the other, and due to the nature of factions, Denominations, Cliques and Gangs, are made the ones who truly embody the spirit of a Chaos diver.

Chaosdivers? The true nane is crydivers. The way they whine about each minor nerf and ignore the facts that the devs have buffed way more than nerfed gives them such a title. (Look at the Viper Commando patch notes and see all the buffs.)

If you make a faction dedicated to contrarianism, anarchy, and betrayal, those are the types of people you will inevitably draw in. And since Chaosdivers is an unofficial faction, they have just as much claim to it as anyone else.

First, that's just dumb. Second, the faction is based on protesting super earth's decision to nerf weapons when the bots have made us reliant on them with thier towers. And they are also protesting the orders that conflict with the maps actual displays. Chaos as a word does not mean anarchy, betrayal or such themes. It means to cause confusion or be unpredictable to normal action. Fighting on fronts not on major orders does that. Refraining from playing the game does that. Greifing isn't on the agenda and is just a bunch of morons.
