Loretta is such a good person. Like Elvis she never let her fame or money change her. Sad that Wayne lost his life. I saw him in an interview with Loretta and he seemed like a really good man. Prayers for all of his loved ones. Thank you Spa Guy for taking us on this visit to Hurricane Mills. Keep up the work. God Bless.

I was little and when w were there the fist time her husband was feeding horses and he was so sweet and took pics with us. He told us she was about to leave for the road and about 30 min later here came her bus and they honked as they passed. Mooney was so down to earth and just talked like we had known him forever. The best part he let me pet his horses lol

Thank you Spa Guy for sharing this video. I've been praying for the people who were affected by this flood. I've been thinking a lot about them lately. My husband and I were there almost 5 years ago. I love Loretta's house. I didn't get to see her, but I seen one of her grandson's. He was blowing the leaves off of the road in front of her house. I'm glad you flew the Glory too, because I've always wanted to see what it looked like behind her house where she lives now. " Well, when she's there". I hope they're able to get everything fixed back up again. RIP Wayne Spears and the others that lost their lives that day.

Back in January of February, I ask my mon (who’s 73 years young) where she’d like to go this year for vacation. She’s a long time fan of Loretta Lynn’s. She picked Hurricane Mills. We’ve never been before. So I booked us with AirB&B, a nearby cabin. The trip is for week after next. I was so sad when the storm happened. I’d planed to still see if we could at least drive past the house. I just found out last week that they were opened back up. I did not tell my mom. I want to surprise her. She’ll be so happy. Thank you so much for sharing how it’s looking. Much appreciated.

Great video Billy I don’t think people really realize the force of water living here in St. Louis Missouri during the flood of 1993 I live about one and half short blocks from Mississippi River and it got very scary it was so bad we could see houses washing away floating down river and friends that lived more north of St. Louis well they were surprised their house was still standing after the water receded. It is so sad the see the devastation but water does what it wants and B people need to learn to respect it and get to safety

Hey Billy, I had have a great picture of the mill from 2009 taken by me while on the tour. I submitted the picture to the Tennessee Travelers Guide and it was chosen for next years guide. David Lodge had contacted me upon seeing it in the guide and asked if he could purchase the negative as art for his office. I decided to just send it to him. A few years later i found out that he is indeed the owner of Lodge Iron Works in Murfreesboro, the manufacturer of many cast iron cook ware. It's beautiful there in Hurricane Mills. Thanks for the videos.
