The QVC clan. Seems like FASA didn't want a bunch of clan clones. Could of made for some fun novels of this clan dealing with both sides of the conflict.

lol, You pronounced it tu-kee-id again. but still nice stream today, had alot of fun watching and chatting.
@CriticalRocket8 жыл бұрын
+William Hawkins I think you're hearing it wrong, I do say Tukayid, but I don't over emphasise the A since that would literally sound like I was saying Tuk-A-yid which then sounds like a anti-semitic slur. If I were to say tuk-ee-yid then I would correct it since there isn't an E for me to pronounce. One of those accent things, like Americans saying I-ran instead of E-ran or erb instead of herb.
@HeadHunterSix Жыл бұрын
@@CriticalRocket we say erb because the H is silent. When describing an interval of 60 minutes, do you say HOW-er , or our?
@CriticalRocket Жыл бұрын
@@HeadHunterSix Wow quite a time gap for this brief discussion. Well the reason the US say Erb is because you continued with the French version, likely the original, while the UK continued on with the Anglicisation and used the H. Not a big difference, though looking at my last comment from 7 years back I wasn't criticising really, just mentioning it as a accent related thing. And regardless the whole Tukayyid thing was sorted not long after so this is a moot discussion now :) The word Hour has been around long enough that both French and English have the H but neither pronounce it with the H sound because European history and stealing from dead languages and then warring with each other for centuries makes this weirdness happen. I can't think of another word that the US uses that still has the H but sounds different when compared with either English or French off the top of my head though. Anyway have a good one Headhunter
