i find it interesting that blizzard picked purple for sombra. In Día de Muertos purple signifies pain, suffering, grief and mourning.

i think the short shows that, although she works with talon, her own goals may cause her to be a target of talon, she probably believes she has control over everyone, but, at the end of the short, if you look at widowmakers face, it an expression of speculation, she must believe that sombra didn't fail, but instead chose not to, and if widowmaker is speculative, then it's possible that the rest of talon is aware that although sombra works with them, that she holds little to no loyalty to them, and may end up needing to dispose of her

Yup, that's exactly our line of thinking as well, and we outlined it in our last Shortwatch on Infiltration :) Widowmaker is effectively the epitome of Talon, and if she's looking suspicious that's Blizzards way of telling us that Talon are suspicious. be careful Sombra ;)

although i can add something onto the lore somewhat, from what i know, lucio has a somewhat similar history to sombra, they just went in different directions with how they rebelled, lucio going for more lights and music, and looking more like the peoples hero, while sombra focused on working alone and in shadows

Theres a voiceline in game where widow says she cant believe reaper trusts sombra... he replies he doesnt but she has her uses... and in turn her comeuppance will emerge

Indeed, Widow's suspicious look at the end of Infiltration was telling. I'm not sure anyone has ever betrayed them like that before, if they have there may be a reason we've never heard of them

I'm intrigued with that one scene in her origin story trailer where Sombra unveiled a mind map of all the connections between Overwatch agents and evil organizations like Talon, Lumerico and Vishkar. There's some connections that we haven't seen before from the lore you guys have covered so you might wanna check it out

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I'd love for them to build on some iteration of him. Even moreso since the story is progressing (rather backstory), and Talon just tried to steal the gauntlet. From there we can build on Numbani and Omnics and the rest. As for Doomfist specifically, I always figured they'd want another Reinhart-ish character and hence he'd be another tank. Potentially making a shield bulkier, yet somewhat smaller, than Rein. But being equally as destructive

Well Blizzard do 'technically' exist in the Overwatch universe given D.Va is a Starcraft pro. I'm not sure at what point history diverges from our version of Earth and becomes the Overwatch version, but it's clear that they share a good deal of our heritage.

Out of the few antagonists we've seen in Overwatch Sombra is easily the best in my opinion. She's just so interesting, also I think she has one of the coolest designs in my opinion.

Side thought. Soldier 76 in his animation is shown fighting Los Muertos, and in Ana's comic he is seen shouting Sombra's name near a locked door before fighting Reaper. What if Soldier 76 was hunting Sombra in his animation even if not openly saying her name, considering she was also with the gang for a point of her life. The street gang seems almost small time considering the Hunt Morrison has been investing into finding out who destroyed Overwatch.

He overheard Reaper say her name - I don't think he shouted it himself. Happy to be proved wrong though :) As for 76 and Los Muertos, my belief is that he was in Dorado in Hero in order to investigate LumeriCo. Tidying up the streets and beating up some gang members was just an added bonus for him, not his primary goal. He is very much focused on uncovering the truth behind the fall of Overwatch.

I'm not sure she has a 'careful' setting. She's very confident in her abilities and given how much she's upgraded and improved since she was first compromised I reckon she's pretty certain in herself that she can get away with anything. Note that I don't think she's quite correct there ;)

Ah, now that's a question we posed in one of our vids last week. In Hero they certainly seem to, but that could just be those guys hate Omnics, not Los Muertos as a whole. Either that or something changed within the gang between the time when Sombra was a child and the time Alejandra bumps into 76 - we are talking about a 15-20 year gap there after all.

Hard to be certain as the timelines on that aren't clear, but my take on it was that she upgraded as part of her wiping her identity after being compromised. It was after she returned that Talon became interested in her so it seemed logical that the upgrades happened befroe that. Could be wrong of course :)

Just a guess, but maybe she was able to acquire some of her cybernetics on her own and was later upgraded further when she joined up with Talon. The parts of her that improve her hacking abilities would logically seem like the first thing she'd go for but the camouflage and hardlight tech might have come later.

Haha I always try to end every Lorewatch with a quick snippet from the character in question, and Boop defines Sombra already :) As for Talon, I think they'll maybe watch her more closely. She's smart though, could be an interesting dynamic for us to follow going forward.

Fleato: Pretty much. A rogue who is not afraid to use others gain information and influence. This is why it is widely theorized that she works for Talon; to use their information and power for her own advantage. Reaper is aware of her ploy with Volskya as he has shown the canon comic titled "Masquerade".

Sombra most likely is the girl in Soldier 76's video. Same clothes, and style. And the Reactors most likely are the power sources for the god programs. They are waiting for Lumerico to finish them, so they can awaken again. Thats definitely an Iris symbol and most likely them, and would makese sense why they are watching Sombra. I like the lore watch. But I am surprised didn't speculate on this. Sombra is setup as a foil. An evil character that has good intentions.

And how would you substantiate that? I am generously curious. Or how did you come to that conclusion? There's definitely some similarity in their appearance and we can make alot of ties, both mexican, etc, etc. And we don't know time tables from the shorts. It could also make sense as she was inspired by Soldier 76 to become a hero, but in her own way, and theres the connection the Los Muertos. She could have lost her mother or etc. Anyhow I love the LoreWatch videos, but I think this is an angle that just wasn't being explored. Thanks

Because time wise, it makes literally no fucking sense. Alejandra is in her early teens at most. Sombra is 30. So your theory makes no sense at all. Hero takes place mere months before the Infiltration Cinematic.
