Damn - that blue is amazing! I think you're right on, my only reservation is the bracelet thickness, but, on balance, it winds up being an incredible package.

I can imagine it being more noticeable on the thinner falcon. All said it's really nice. Better than the gen 1 stuff I've handled. And the blue Gilt is gorgeous!

Thank you for the review! I like the golden accents, the case profile and its dimensions. Too bad it doesn't have saphire. I do get the "vintage vibe". Tudor has done the same thing with the BB, but they put saphire on that for practical reason.

Cool review thanks! The reference of the Tudor you refer to is 94010😊 Tudor submariner. Handset is identical except for the arrows on the lorier are longer. I really like this watch as it pays respect to the 1960 divers like Tudor, Rolex, omega, blancpain and Seiko, but not directly copy them. To me it's a 1960s diver homage, it uses elements from all in a respectful appreciation way.. Which is a pretty cool thing. I'm not usually a fan of direct homages watches like Steinhardt but this is definitely different.

Would you chose the serica California dial or this Neptune 3? I can't decide and ordered the serica first. I don't wanna order both if you can advise me And most importantly, would you say that the original field watch style dial is more balanced and articulated compared to the new Cali dial on the serica? Is it just a dial thrown on the case or is it feeling like it proper belongs to the same degree? I'm not exactly asking about taste here, more about the design science. If it feels like an attachment/alternative look and not exactly a work of art

This is tough, I used to hate California dials. I don't mind them now, but I think I would still go with the more traditional field watch dial on the serica, it's more visually appealing to me. But, I am a bracelet guy thru and thru and did not like the bonklip. But I also didn't like the bracelet on the Lorier, it's too thick and the first link articulates weird. It's hard to pick between a field watch and a diver, but those would be the considerations for me.

I have similar sentiments with the components matched together as a whole and not the parts as much. so I'll have to wait and see. hoping I figure it out easily and not with it all in hand and in colorway. this truly is about me having one watch to exhibit my sentiments and where I am exactly now. This comment is probably too late but there is no import fee if you live in the US and also no shipping fee. The watches are shipped from New York I believe.

S3 is how Lorier refers to it, meaning series 3 if I'm not mistaken. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I like how you tell it like it is. This watch is a forum darling and gets universal praise which I never like when herd mentality swings a certain way. The fact you were unimpressed almost immediately by certain aspects injects a dose of reality into that watch. It looks pretty good but I do find with microbrands there is always something lacking. Can't put my finger on it. It's a good piece but I also like the Nodus better.
