This ep is an obsession of mine. It got me listening to them more and ultimately they've become my favorite band ever. I appreciate the fact that you gave credit to every member. They're all equally important parts to a whole. Lorna Shore is incredible and Will is the perfect addition. I'm stoked to see what else comes from these beasts.

I'm a metalhead since I was 10 and heard Wherever I May Roam for the first time from my cousin's new Metallica cassette tape. Now, after 30 years Lorna Shore made me feel almost exactly the same vibes when playing their new EP. This is my first ever DeathCore release in the entire collection (still waiting for that Slaughter To Prevail preorder) and I'm just happy and excited like that 10 year old kid that had heard Hetfield's 'YEAH?!!!' for the first time. Awesome times we're living in. Thanks for the video Tank!

You are not alone bro, sat here with headphones, a motherfuk@%ng raspberry mojito and cried like a little baby. My teen kids asked me what the problem was…how can you even explain these emotions? This is a true masterpiece. This band works as one, and that is what makes them stand out. Shadow of Intent is the same. I’m so grateful for being able to be alive and experience this. Great reaction man. Love the Lorna vids. I completely agree with them becoming a favorite band. I dug Immortal back when I first heard it, but hearing To The Hellfire legitimately blew me away. I don't even remember the last time I was this excited for an EP/album. This afternoon when I first saw this had come out, I literally squealed and accidentally threw my phone across the room. 🤣 My bf was thoroughly confused haha. Will is an absolute, certified BEAST. He is such a great fit for the band and I'm so fucking excited to see what their future music brings (especially if it's even half as good as this EP). The rest of this comment is a copy/paste of a comment I left on your Baba Yaga video lmao. Just figured there was a better chance of you seeing it on your newest video instead of one from 2 months ago. 🤣 Apologies in advance for the length of the following comment 👀😅 A. I just watched you for the first time tonight (your To The Hellfire vid) and you're already one of my favorite reactors. I'm usually not a big fan of reactors that pause frequently throughout the song, but in your videos it doesn't bother me a bit. Even though I know absolutely nothing about gear, I genuinely really enjoy hearing you talk about it. Then again, I always like listening to people talk about things they're passionate about/super knowledgeable about. Lol B. LOVE the little bonus facts you put in the video but don't necessarily talk about. I'm a sucker for trivia/factoids/bullshit like that 🤣👏 C. You should check out Asphyxiate by Prompts ft. Ryo from Crystal Lake. 🤘

This shit is honestly unreal. I'm from the "old school" side of extreme metal, I haven't paid much attention to anything with a -core suffix. I'll give credit to bands like BTBAM and Slaughter To Prevail, but it's not something that grabs my attention overall. But this? Lorna Shore are genre-bending and innovating. I've listened to music "like this" for almost 30 years now and this has been a complete kick in the ass. The entire band is obviously very talented, but Will Ramos is on a whole other level from anyone doing this right now. The entire package is just unreal. And yeah, To The Hellfire is the star of the show, but this song is spectacular and so is Of The Abyss. These guys are going to conquer new worlds.
@youtubesbichasspolicys5888
@youtubesbichasspolicys5888 2 жыл бұрын
Slaughter to prevail isn’t innovating that much other than a more core focused drive and some nu metal style with Russian culture. These guys and make them suffer have had the blackened undertones since 2010, arguably the ones who made it more common. Brand of sacrifice and mental cruelty are also doing major things for the genre.

Totally okay with you being lazy on this one. Music's to be enjoyed, after all, not analysed to death :) And definitely with you on the singer getting all the praise. Yes, he's doing awesome, out of this world, god-tier work, I'm not fighting that - but damn, the guys on the instruments are doing just as awesome. A band's not "a singer only" - show, at least in my opinion. Singers might often stand out as the focal point, but if the others are doing shitty work? There's not a single singer I can imagine that would save THAT song. And that comes from someone that loves singing and good melodies, but is completely tone deaf when it comes to base lines and got zero sense for rhythms, so singers and lead guitar players are usually the ones that stand out the most for me ^^'
@AwkwardHillbilly
@AwkwardHillbilly 3 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of the focus being on Will is because he's new. Everyone already knew the band kicked ass. To The Hellfire was a lot of people's first time hearing Will so there's that awestruck factor playing in. Not disagreeing at all with what you've said, just giving a perspective on why he's getting so much attention.
@LunaBianca1805
@LunaBianca1805 3 жыл бұрын
@@AwkwardHillbilly Yeah, I guess that novelty factor will sure play into it - and that singers are so often the one's that most stand out ^^' The voice is the most unique instrument after all :3 Anyhow, haven't seen your comment as a critique to mine. It's good to know, they're fans are so supportive and know what talented people they've got packed into their favourite band - there's definitely other fandoms that are a hecking lot more toxic :3 However, I'm almost sure that Tank's comment in the vid was in reply to other KZbin-reactors that only point out how talented their singer is, but somehow seem to forget the rest of the band, that's what I responded to ;)

I keep mentioning this in other reactors' videos too - 16:53 in this video , when the vocalist sings "Bursting into flames" you can hear a little bit of a clean-ish sing-scream thing on the word "flames". this music is good mid step of symphonic black and deathcore .. and sounds well. But if I remember to almost 20 years old Equilibrium, Kalmah, Insomnium... or new Cradle of filth! so this is still an average

I'm so happy that finally a band is doing something fresh in metal, everyone's gone down the "Bring Me The Horizon" and almost become pop metal... but lorna shore are just doing things different right now and I'm so proud to be a metal head because of them

Tank!! Thanks for this reaction! Awesome band and New Song, and Ep. If you like symphonic elements with brutal metal, you should check the italian band Fleshgod Apocalypse.. there are a lot of incredible songs by them! One above all, The Violation.

Just came here cause I needed to express my feelings about Kostolom as soon as I got to work. Just gave it my (almost) full album listen on my way to work today. It was in general a treat, I have to say. Only song I didn't listen to cause I arrived at work was the last one, so It still can get better. Between my favorites are of course Baba Yaga and Demolisher and Im adding two more to the "favorites" list (that doesn't mean I didn't like the rest, the album as a whole I thought was very good). First I will say there was only 1 song that I didn't like at all which was "Your Only", not because its the more "Nu Metal" one, which I don't mind, but just didn't "feel" it. Now, that being the only low point for me, there were two more songs besides Demolisher and Baba Yaga that stood out. The first one is Ouroboros, vocals and drums are just brutal, it's like a constant breakdown... and then the song that makes Demolisher feel like a lullaby... "I Killed a Man"... damn it what a song. It's totally different from the rest of the album, but it still totally fits. It's closer to Black Metal, than anything. Just BRUTAL. Special mention to "BRatva" which was fun too. "Your'e listening to Alex the Terrible" oh and of course: Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize (live in Tilburg)

I already knew "To The Hellfire" through you and before that, this wasn't kinda my way to go with metal. Today I heard "Of the Abyss" and had shivers all over my body. Thank you for introducing me to Lorna Shore.

This is like classical composing. You even have opera singers interviewing Will Ramos. This really is art, and the public knows it.
