This is just an honest personal answer to your question. As a metal head from childhood and person who today listens all types of music, I didn´t like deathcore before hearing "Whitechapel - Possibilities of an Impossible Existence". It´s really hard to put it in words but deathcore sounded like a angry children being annoying and whiny (This is just a personal feeling I get from it). Literally the heaviest song I have listened too. And I know a couple hundred bands. This is horrifyingly fucking heavy.

as always I love the small cymbal extras: 0:30 ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ting (a classic) and 3:32 a longer lasting one followed by 4 short hits in a row 3:33 to 3:34

So sad we won’t hear more CJ’s vocals with Lorna Shore. He was falsely accused on horrible things he didn’t do and lost his place in a band due to that. “Immortal” is still one of the best LS albums, even after new works with Ramos it’s clear as day.
