Lorna Shore has turned into game breakers since they dropped immortal. Now they have surely set these standards so damn high it may very well be impossible to match.. And yet there are other worthy bands to listen to as well, like check out Angelmaker and their song What I Would Give.. bet it will at least make you shed more tears if at least choke you up

The ending for me makes me think of how abrupt and sudden death can be… I know that it was cut off at the end because it’s a trilogy of songs, but that’s what it reminds me of -the feeling of sadness when a loved one is dying, then comes the anger, and finally the feeling of emptiness and nothingness. 😭 Beautifully done. By far my favorite Lorna Shore song so far! I can’t WAIT for this album to drop! ❤🤘🏻🔥

I don't think the last minute of the song would slap as hard into the very deepest, darkest of emotions if it wasn't for Will's delivery. It's also very subtle, which is a word that I never thought I would associate with deathcore/melodeath, but listen to Will's intonation as the song moves along. It starts off bright, powerful, punchy, all the things you expect. Then the first chorus hits, and his tone shifts towards a more muted, sadder delivery. The next verses are angry, and his movements in the video reflect it. The second chorus is much more pained than the first, and he leads into the chorus tail with fury (when he does the air punch at 5:25 ) and does that SUPERB buildup to the word "GO!" And then it all comes crashing down, and instead of harsh, demonic, squealed, or fried vocals, we get... Will speaking. Not singing. Speaking. That made me sit right the fuck up. He then reaches right into you and grabs you by the soul with a tone I can only describe as "heart-wrenching" with the delivery of "Within the expanse I can finally see, a world without you wasn't meant for me." That had me welling up, and I am a guy that does not cry all that often. I think, however, that the most emotional intonation is the next line. Somehow, through the harsh vocals, he somehow manages to mix anguish with desperation and loss in how he cries out "Where do you go when I close my eyes?" and I was an absolute weeping mess. I think it's because we, as human beings, have all had that loss in some way, and with just the tone, the anguished delivery, the desperate search to find the answer, the loss of the reality of it, Will touches that memory and then gives it an emotional throat punch. Listen very carefully to the "Where do you" part of the lyric, and how "you" is more of a "yuU" with a sharp hooking rise at the end, like he's about to start crying himself. Absolutely masterful, impeccable intonation and delivery. Even now, with about the 20th reaction vid I've seen of this, I still feel the water tugged from my eyes, even though I know the lyric is coming. Will Ramos is not just an extremely talented deathcore singer to me anymore. He has surpassed that and is now in the same ranking, for me at least, as Dio, Floor Jansen, Bruce Dickinson, Mike Patton, and the like as one of the greatest metal voices of all time. Full stop, no questions, no answers, he's just in that hall of fame and deservedly so.

This song is truly one of thier best, if not thier best with Will as frontman. The video was so eloquently done and has such raw emotion in it that if you don't tear up a little, then you're a broken human. The way the song cuts off with her dying breath always pushes me over the limit and whatever tears i was holding back come rushing through 100% of the time.

Mat and Chels, I’m right there with you, this song broke me too. 😢 my face was exactly like your were. Exactly. I didn’t think that Lorna Shore could invoke that much emotional power, and captivate me in that way. If this is part one, and it is as some of the members have said, with the trilogy being their favorite, I’m so excited whats to come!! ❤️💔 The only other Metal song to get me emotional was Oblivion by FFAK. Edit: that ending wasn’t a “breakdown”, it was a “break me down”. And its crazy that this band can write things from “To the Hellfire, to “(PRI:) Dancing Like Flames”. I’ve never seen such diversity in a band.
