Listed to this song when I was a little girl. I looked it up later as an adult, heard a few different singers, along with the original. I typically go with the original & like it best, but.. I have to say, and I feel I've earned the right to say..... Lorrie Morgan really does it best!!! :-)

Yes, I agree this is a great version. And I also almost always think original versions are the best. However, for this song, most people think the original version was the one by Jeanie C. Riley. But that’s not the case! The original was by Billie Jo Spears, but for whatever reason it did not catch on, and even as a huge Billie Jo fan, I can see why, after listening to it. Some songs are just not suited to some singers. And that’s why the Jeanie C Riley version, which followed shortly, became the most popular version.

Lorrie has a unique and beautiful voice, saw her in concert last month and her voice is awesome.
