I’m a huge fan of Lorrie Morgan. I’ve seen a couple of concerts when she came to Canada. She is my all time favourite female country singer. A picture of me without you and 5 Minutes are 2 that come to mind but I knew every word to most all of her songs. I wish her well and hope that her happiness now is lasting and true. God Bless you Lorrie

I totally agree with her. our country music is not country music anymore, and these hip-hop artists trying to take our country music and change it into some kind of rap crap really. They need to stay on their own side of the tracks.
@johnfranklin6859 ай бұрын
Your absolutely right. Hick-Hop sucks, so much, that as an alternative of staying on their own side of the tracks, they should rather ride those tracks straight off the highest cliff of the Grand Canyon, never to be heard from again.

I got so fed up with the hip-hop intrusion into 'country'..now I listen to 'the oldies' and gained an appreciation of jazz, sinatra, 50's dollop rock. Lorries Morgan was always a gem of country.

@@IntrovertedAF21 This has absolutely nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with talent; and the lack thereof, pertaining to Rap and Hip-hop. Black people, throughout history, have abundantly contributed a wealth of meaningful songs; not limited to any particular genre. However rap & hip-hop sucks, irrespective of the melanin content in the skin of whoever may perform it.

I’ve been the bass player in Lorrie’s band for almost 7yrs. She is more than just a wonderful country artist, she’s a devoted wife, a wonderfully loyal friend, a loving mother & loving grandmother. She’s one of the most genuine people I have ever known and is most definitely STILL playing and working…..these kinds of videos kinda anger me because they suggest a lot of false info. And while she is now very happily married to her husband Randy White, Keith Whitley was the love of her life at that time.

Lori is my absolute favorite female friend and has been for years. George strait is my favorite male singer but Keith was my favorite at that time. I still love his music. He reminded me of my older brother and they both died the. Same way. As far as the Opry goes, back in the day life was slower than today. Everybody now finds themselves running all the time so yes, it is harder to fit in another appearence with sometimes more than 250 concerts each year. Plus, the competition is much heavier. By the was, l love Blake Shelton!

I can understand her. I spent many years trying to get a friend to quit drinking. No it was not a woman. He did not quit until he passed away. We remained friends through the years but alcohol won. I agree that the music we hear now is not country. My favorite song she sings is a picture of me without you. She and George Jones both sang it. I have heard a few try it but they are the best. I was stationed 20 miles south of Nashville in the Air Force when she was born. To me she is the most beautiful lady country singer.

Lori hasn’t quit music. Has a concert near me soon and I hope to go. If you read her book, she loved Keith and did all she could to save him from his demons. I wish only the best for her and her babies. They are now grown, but always are Momma’s babies. I think that Keith was her only true love. The others that followed were just something she tried to fill the void with. Hoping that this last marriage is everything that she wants and that that she deserves.

In early spring 1994 I and another guy was contracted by my truck driver brother-in-law to help move this couple in the their 80's to move from Ohio to Florida. All the way down there the truck radio was tuned to country stations and I kept hearing this song called...I Didn't Know My Own Strength. It was big on the charts along with John Michael Montgomery's son...I Swear. Those two songs made the whole trip. Then when I seen Lorrie Morgan on the video I was blown away from her beauty also. On the way back to Ohio we stopped at a truck rest stop around Cincinnati and as we pulled in Lorrie's entourage bus pulled on the left side of us about a minute after we parked. I was gonna walk over until I seen all these truck drivers forming a line to the right side door I presumed to be fans wanting an autograph. That stopped me and now I wished I would have stood in that line to get a glimpse and autograph any way possible. It pains me to see her go thru all those failed marriages and with it her fairy tale image after country sunk. I still believe cause of those two songs by her and Montgomery that country had peaked in 1994 as country was the last to go. After "94" the music industry went slowly under, but it was that magical year of 1994 when their was still a reason to turn on new songs from the radio..

Lori is definitely right about some of these country artist who are made members of the grand old Opry and rarely perform. Blake Shelton is not alone, Little Big Town and Kelsea Ballerini are two that come to my mind very quickly and Lady A is with them I am afraid. If you are going to be a member of the opera, then you need to perform as often as you humanly can because it is the pinnacle of country music.
