[ERRATUM] From 15:43 to 16:25, I wrote "Quand doas vocalas se seguisson dins de mots diferents, la SEGONDA se fa muda" but it should have been written: "[...] la PRIMIERA se fa muda" as I say orally 😉 De 15:43 à 16:25, j'ai fait une petite erreur sur l'image en écrivant : "Quand doas vocalas se seguisson dins de mots differents, la SEGONDA se fa muda" alors qu'il faut bien évidemment lire "[...] la PRIMIERA se fa muda" comme je le dis en voix off 😉 De 15:43 a 16:25, cometí un pequeño error en la imagen al escribir: "Quand doas vocalas se seguisson dins de mots differents, la SEGONDA se fa muda" mientras que obviamente es necesario leer "[...] la PRIMIERA se fa muda" como digo en voz en off 😉

Hi Gabrièu! I appreciate very very much your work!!!! I'd like to talk to you about this things. I'm an expert in Lombard language and so-called Gallo-Italic languages in general. I've seen also your video on Nissart, and I have some doubt about its categorization as Occitan, but maybe you can help me understand. As a conoisseur of Ligurian language, it sounds to me familiar, even if very original. I can speak Spanish and French and only a bit Occitan and Catalan: I'd like to know more about Occitan, mostly because I've noticed that there is something very similar between Old Provençal and Old Lombard, not only explainable with the influence of literary Provençal. In fact, I'm specialized in history of language and etymology. I've a question: in the video on Nissart, you used the word "ninga", correct? If it is true, it is very interesting by my point of view (etymology), because the traditional explanation of the word "ningun" (Spanish) exlusively from Latin would begin to falter ("ninga" in Germanic Lombard means "not at all" and in modern [Romance] Lombard "minga" [probably with influence of Latin "minus"] means "not" [postposed negation]). Through my long years of work on the history of language, I have come to the conclusion that words never have a single source, but are born from the encounter. Please answer :)

Hello and thank you for your question. As Xavier told you, the Congress of the Occitan Language offers an initiation to Occitan phonology on its site. I allow myself to complete his comment by adding a few links. Online and free, you will find two fairly complete tools here ➡️ (1) The Occitan Wiktionary: oc.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikiccionari:Pagina_d%27acu%C3%A8lh and (2) The Congress’ phonetiser : fonetizaire.locongres.com/. All you have to do is write a word in the left column called "Transcripcion de tèxte libre" and press "trancríver" to obtain a phonetic transcription in any of the 7 dialects of the Langue d'òc. There might be a few small mistakes sometimes (as the tool is still under development) but it is already very handy. As a small paper dictionary, you have the very good “Dico de poche / Diccionari de botgeta” published in 2019 by linguist Patric Sauzet. It is not very expensive (€9.90) and rather clear. Bon dia de nou, si et fixes en la pronúncia del català mallorquí, veuràs que hi diuen "a'mits" (amics), "at'tsió" (acció) o "te 'fitses" (te fixes), "es tens" (es temps), "dia'lètte" (dialecte), "ko'rrètte" (correcte), "man'nètik (magnètic), "din ka seva" (dins ca -casa- seva). Potser açò s'explique perquè, arran de la conquesta cristiana de Mallorca, hi hagué occitans que s'hi establiren amb els catalanòfons orientals que hi anaren i influiren en la formació del català mallorquí. En qualsevol cas, la llengua catalana es pot considerar com a dialecte allunyat de l'occità.

A prepaus dels digrafs "tg" et "tj", as oblidat de dire que i a de parlars lengadocian ont la "j" e la "g" (abans e e i) se pronóncian /ʒ/ mentre que "tg" et "tj" fan /dʒ/. Aiçò explica perque fan besonh aquestes digrafs.

Hola Marina! De hecho no creo que lo tenga realmente como sónido. De mi punto de vista extranjero nunca he oído la LL pronunciada de otra manera que [j] o [ʒ]. Sin embargo doy este ejemplo para que puedan ver que se trata del equivalente castellano de la LH occitana. Así tenemos palabras relacionadas que se ecriben así: - castellano / castelhan - botella / botelha - vanilla / vanilha Pero también hay que decir que dentro del lenguaje hablado (menos "universitario" que lo que hago yo en mis vídeos) se dice mucho la LH como [j] y no como [ʎ], exactamente como en castellano de España.

En el idioma "castellano puro" la LL tiene sonido diferente a la Y: ( los ancianos de mi familia, castellanos rurales, las pronunciaban usualmente de forma diferente ) : la LL suena muy similar a " Li" pronunciado rapido o mezclado : "pollo" suena en ese castellano rural "poLio" aunque con la "L" atenuada, en cambio la "Y" suena como una "i" hecha muy sonora, algo como "ii", lo mismo "poyo" ( bloque de piedra junto a una pared en que se apoyan cosas) suena "poiio" . Gallo se pronuncia en ambiente rural de Castilla norte como "gaLio", se capta una "L" aunque abreviada entre la "a" y el conjunto "io". Obviamente todo es "latin vulgar" deformado
