@idylledoll
@idylledoll 6 жыл бұрын
H B yes and that video pissed me off. I always ask for a smaller piece cus I HATE wasting food and usually too much cake makes me feel sick even if I love certain cakes and pastry (depends on the flavour and type of cake) so if it’s too big and I end up not liking it I’ll feel bad to waste it but if it’s a lighter type of cake I may have a larger piece. That video was totally ludicrous though!

Wanna know why? Because it makes money. It works hand in hand with the diet industry, who does the same thing. It creates problems and provides "solutions" that don't work so you'll come back every time. Overly restrictive diets make you binge, which gives said junk food industry more money. The difference is that while the diet industry kills, there's nothing bad about treating yourself every once in a while.

I’m overweight and if I keep going like I am with poor eating habits and lack of exercise, I have a good chance of being obese in a couple of years, with a good chance of getting diabetes. I am beginning to cut back on sugary drinks and sugary junk “food.” Losing weight will help relieve unnecessary pressure on my hips, knees, and feet and I will have more energy, too. And I will may no longer have sleep apena. I want to lose weight for mostly health reasons because I rarely see an overweight or obese elderly person. Lose the weight, keep your health...

That attitude will solve half your problem. Don't go on a restricted diet(choose the less calorie dense options like salad so you can eat large portions), don't stay hungry for long periods of time, choose an exercise routine that gets you excited(like dancing does for me) and break mood-food associations. That's how I lost most of my weight. I hope you find good health soon☺️👍

I have no problem with people being overweight but I have a problem when someone says that dieting is a waste of time. I keep my fitness level high so I can live longer and avoid medical issues when I’m older. Nobody can tell me that if I was overweight, I’d be just as healthy as I am now. I have family members with bad joints caused by obesity. Is it wrong that I want to avoid that? This sends the wrong message to our youth. We don’t want them to think that being overweight and obese is ok. If you are happy with your body, good for you. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that attitude but please don’t shame those that want to live healthy lifestyles. It’s ludicrous.

Actually, what one should really have is a balanced diet, like a little bit of everything. However what most of the diets(like the fad diets) which are targetted mostly towards women, are really very unhealthy. They mostly focus on starvation, or like eating only one type of food or food group, rather than building muscles and increasing total strength and health. Those definitely are not okay and very harmful to the body and psyche. Obesity too is harmful, as it comes with the added risk of diseases like diabetes, heart problems, depression, and chronic pain in the knees, back etc.

Scientists at UNC reviewed data from 75 studies conducted between January and June involving 400,000 coronavirus patients. They found obese people had a 46% greater risk of catching Covid-19 than non-obese people, and a 113% increased risk of hospitalization. Plus their chances of ending up in the intensive care unit were 74% greater than those who were not obese. They also had a 48% greater risk of dying from the virus, the team reported Wednesday in the journal Obesity Reviews.

It’s as deadly as alcoholism or drug abuse. So, I’d like to consider her message as a beginning phase of health, when you accept who you are and the way you are but strive for more through acceptance, therapy, planning, and so on.

Good food triggers dopamine and just like anything else that does that you'll start to want it more and more and the more you indulge your desire for a dopamine triggering substance the stronger your attachment to it becomes. Sure, at the moment the tumour might not be causing any health issues, but there’s always a risk of that tumour becoming malignant, and causing severe issues later on. Being overweight is unhealthy. End of subject. I understand that there are people who have medical reasons as to why they are overweight, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is dangerous. Its a LIFESTYLE change. I used to not move much and eat so many sweets and fried chicken and chips. Now I eat only whole foods, eggs, organic meats, whole grains, veggies and fruits. I hardly eat chips and i eat sweets only 2 times a week. The switch was slow but i did it. I still get enough of the "bad" foods that i don't feel like I'm missing out. I workout 6/7 days a week. I have much more stamina and strength than I ever did before. I'm put good into my body and I get good out of it. This isn't something I'm quitting in a year. No this is something I'm maintaining for the rest of my life. I always want to be healthy and fit. I want to actually be able to move easily when I'm old. I see so many elderly obese people at work that can barely walk or ride a mart cart and it just motivates me so much to not end up like that. I work in a grocery store.

Thank you for this talk Vergie, it means a lot to keep driving the profits of fast food companies, corporations and health insurance companies. Without your words of inspiration many of these places would shutter overnight due to people's efforts in trying to lead a healthy lifestyle. Keep up the good work!

Childrens Aid gets involved if a kid is underfed. But somehow it's okay for parents to plop a kid in front of the TV with no other source of entertainment and overfeed them?! CPS got called on my mom once because someone was worried I wasn't eating enough. I was skinny even though I ate tons of junk food because I stopped eating when I felt full or I'd save half the chocolate bar for the next day. Kids naturally want to play. The park is a gym! This is 100% on her parents, setting her up to fail from the start.

If you're happy with yourself, I'm happy for you but I believe controlling your weight is not a, bad thing. Working out is good for mind body and soul. What's wrong with controlled, healthy calorie counting? What's wrong with men following their biological predisposition to prefer slimmer women? What's wrong with losing weight if you are unhappy with yourself? What's wrong with striving to be the healthiest person you can be? Stop blaming others for your own incapability to eat healthily and exercise more.

Kat So? Why all the negative judgement? It seems like all the women and the men making comments about this video are threatened by this woman daring to accept herself as she is. Because we’re constantly told we need to look a certain way to be accepted in this culture. Why watch if you’re so offended by her?

@@PinkyPuff69 The comment section of this video reflects exactly the toxic indoctrinated hatred she's talking about. The people finding super "creative" ways to insult this speaker don't realize they are playing into the exact caricature of fatphobic haters being discussed. They literally think there is a moral element to healthiness. Living in a polluted city is just as unhealthy as being overweight yet nobody shames city people lol.

@@amberdiaz5847 You can’t always choose where you live, but you can definitely control your weight. Coming from someone who has been severely hypothyroid, I know how hard it can be to keep a healthy weight. Sure, I’ve always had to try harder than others, but losing weight improved my quality. I’m still hypothyroid but I am extremely fit because I put in effort and practice moderation. No excuses, especially when you live in a first world country. I don’t believe in enabling destructive lifestyles, but you clearly do.
