I am literally trying to talk myself out of this. My dealer has them for $325 sgipped but I already have a Mojave 4S, Bog Hog and a NASCAR coming from him and just dont wanna spend more money yet. Its such a deal though! I just know I will have to buy diffs for it.

We cant own every car no matter the cost. It would actually be nice to get down to just a couple of cars with tons of spare parts. 👍 And money left over for basics like groceries.

I just looked at the owners manual and see the rig has a 12T (3S) and 14T (4S) pinion. 99% of the time when they come with two pinions, one is for normal use and one is for speed runs. At least thats the way it is with 40 or so of my rigs. Reading the manual, this is the first time I have seen two different pinions for battery size. Honestly all of Losi/Horizon stuff can be geared up a little so I would always just keep the 14T in it. Heck, if I get one I will probably throw an 18 in it lol BTW, great job on the video! I just subscribed!

I totally agree. I normally don't worry so much about my cars and gearing but I wanted to baby the car and go by the book so to speak. I took it out again today with the taller pinion (14t) and hit it pretty hard. No issues with the drive train or temps. I only have 3s batteries atm but a 4s soon hopefully and leave in the 14t. It's already fun to drive but 4s would be nice. Thanks for watching.

Thanks my good friend. It's a nice looking buggy for sure. I was a bit skeptical about buying one at that price, not knowing much about the Lasernut. Is there more than one version? Did they improve on something and that's why all the other sellers are asking over $500 for it? I have no idea. I feal like a sales man but honestly I was just amazed at the low price this one vendor is selling them for. Check the link in my comments he still has some available at that low price. 👍

Hey RC, looks like a cool buggy for hard offroading. You have a lot of good video action shots in there and you missed your calling as a marketing/videographer guru for the manufacturers promo videos.

Oh You! Thanks for the confidence builder. I really like the Lasernut and will probably be driving it all the time. It would be nice to have a camera man to shoot videos. Honestly I enjoy working on my cars as much as driving them. With the radio on and my dog by my side it's relaxing to tinker in my garage. How is your kill switch project coming along? It's a very impressive design.

@@RCRoads Oh i'm quite serious about that, just go check the Losi official promo videos and your technique and quality of filming, especially editing are right on par. The kill switch will hopefully, weather dependent get some testing this weekend

Thanks. I am having a great time with it. I really bought it for it's looks but it's plenty fast on 3s at my skill level. Thanks again for the nice comment.

@@RCRoads I love the way it looks ! Losi just does a great job with scale and details

Do you have issues with the differential stripping out?
@RCRoads8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. This was my very first run with the Lasernut. I have heard tons of comments about the diffs being weak. I believe a shim is something that people talk about as a cure for the slop. Others say that it's an 1/8th scale with 1/10th scale drivetrain. Also Big Tires... The manager at the hobby store said the diffs hold up fine as long as your not doing donuts all day long. Hopefully it holds up. There are tons of upgrades for this buggy so in the long run it should be a good product with great support.

I run 4s 50c packs on my Nut. Much better than 3s. The brakes take 2 mins to adjust. Look in the manual, set %25 from factory. I set mine at 100 and use the spectrum remote to dial it back when I want to
@RCRoads8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for this information. Eventually I will go 4s for sure. I set my breaks to 50% because I have not read through the manual yet. I just used the program button instead of my card because the fan plug was blocked by the brace. I was wondering about the brake dial on the radio. I tried using it on the factory 25% and it did nothing. I will definitely punch mine up to 100% and make use of it. Thank you for pointing this out. Your the beat! 👍👍

Hey you are welcome and great footage😃 I also saw alot of people loose the back passenger tire. Before I ran mine I used blue loctite, cranked down with the hand tool the Nut comes with. Then used a socket wrench and got an extra 1/4 turn easily. Let the loc tite set for 24 hrs before running. I have not lost a tire yet! I ordered the RPM arms for stand by. I installed the RPM skid plates. I am installing the RC Bash Co bash kit this weekend. It is supposed to save the front Diff in front collisions. I am also bumping up the shocks a bit to 40 weight since most the terrain is not track quality.
