I love my original SBR. The UDR looks great running, but I can’t imagine much better than what I get with my SBR. I’d like to see some more high speed runs across that sand lot you use. Love watching the suspension work

I always use dry GRAPHITE POWDER lock lube. It's almost like a Moly but it connects to the gears on a molecular level and really helps smooth things out. It stays on fine but does wear off . Super easy to apply tho.

You could try Mountain Bike Dry Lube...? You squirt it on and the liquid evaporates off within seconds and it leaves a dry waxy type protection of lube.... It's designed for lubricating mountain bike chains on dusty summer trails

My transmission center gear cluster failed and I replaced it with the Vitavon gear. It's very noisy to start but goes quiet as the parts warm up. Otherwise, the truck is extremely bullet proof right out of the box; there's no need to replace anything unless you just prefer the aluminum bling and got some spare cash. Check out Kevin Talbot and other basher's video; those guys don't hold anything back and they rarely ever break a part on this truck. Also, radio and other electronics, etc. in my truck work perfect so, again, nothing to replace. This is my first vehicle with a gyro and I really like it. Anyway, a great how-to video. Placing the Rx in a proper sealed box is a great tip. How were you able to remove the screw pin for the rear drive shaft? I ran into big problems with that. Thanks. 👍

You can always use a dry wax lubricant on those gears, or possibly lithium grease spray.

Same stuff we lube chains with for bikes?
@drog3433 жыл бұрын
@@BlackTownie999 Possibly, I'm not sure what you use for the bike chains, unless you are referring to the lithium grease spray, the dry wax stuff I have is an rc product (by Trak Power) I decided to try after being recommended by someone else, when I was having binding issues with my sliding shafts, running in my dry dusty environment.

Fantastic Upgrades from Vitivon for sure, and yeppers the Radiolink styling isn't a one hand friendly design but has so many options for different add-ons... I think comparing the Traxxas UDR and this Losi SBR is Fair enough but maybe the UDR is slightly better thought through? Use dry graphite to lube gears that are exposed to sand. If you can't source some locally you can easily make some by grinding the "lead" from HB pencils, making it powder and brushing it on the gears. Wear gloves...... lol

I don't care for using earplugs in the manner you have. It is IMO good that you left some silicone oil behind however, I don't thing you used enough. What I have found, though I've admittedly only tried using only earplugs once,is that the earplug doesn't have any viscosity. What I noticed would happen, was that the firm silicone gets ripped away from the gears and it slips inconsistently. It is also hard to get all of the air pockets out. What I like to do when I want it extra stiff is to mix up a heavy wt silicone oil with the earplug. I do tried to mix it some and breakup the solid earplug prior to adding. IMHO this is better. The diff action is extremely brief like a very tight but, not locked slipper in how it will help with drivetrain abuse. What I plan to do or try next time is to heat up the mixture so it liquefies and mixes better while also flowing easier. My only potential concern is if the heat, when melting the silicon, damages it's viscosity permanently. I doubt this would be the case but, I do want to make sure it re-thickens after cooling. Maybe it's a good time to try it and report back!
@ExocagedRC3 жыл бұрын
I’ve opened the diffs up and believe me it gets mixed up in there LoL. Yeah straight plugs don’t lube anything but in a sense if the Diff is packed and it only moves a little bit, does it need to be lubed?

@@ExocagedRC if it doesn't move it doesn't need to be lubricated right.

I am surprised you do not like Spektrum receivers, I have used Spektrum since they came out with their 2.4ghz system, I am using their latest receivers and a DX6R and DX4R Pro I have other Spektrum transmitters now not used as the latest have more tunability, if you are having any distance issues Spektrum do a receiver to cover that it has a longer aerial SR6110AT (they had a similar problem when the first LOSI 5ive-T hit UK shores all the receivers had to be swapped out delaying the truck getting to the RC stores) The LOSI large scale tend to come with the SR6100AT I have these in all my 5th scale gas but missed ordered the SR6110AT when swapping out the FlySky receiver from my SDT the SBR clone, once fitted I tested their claim about more distance available and yep almost doubles the distance you can get from the RTR SR6100AT receiver. How different are the front arms on the V2 compared to the V2, they claim also a different wheelbase length so the trailing arms are shorter are they as I have the clone just curious as I have ordered the Vitavon trailing arms and wonder if I am going to have any issues.
