I love how realistic that truck looks, fabulous. Even better when you scale drive like you did, looks stunning. Great footage Joe 👍😃

This is why I always vent the outside of the tire and seal the inside. All the benefits of a vented tire without any of the issues of crap getting stuck inside

That's such a great looking truck, and the wheels look awesome on it!! The back end looks like it's 'wagging' a little. I'm sure I saw something a while ago, about the rear end, where the spare wheels mount, being really flexible. It doesn't detract from what is, IMHO, the best looking and preforming short course/trophy truck out there!! Great video of it, especially the slowmo clips. So scale. 🤘🏻

Those Vitavon wheels look awesome. I almost bought a set for my SBR 2.0 as well. I ended up getting super lucky, as I got a 1 one off / prototype set off wheels for mine.

I love racing short course trucks, and this one is hot. I was hoping to see some laps frim the driver's stand that's what this truck is made for. You're full on right, a bit of bounce in the back end. Video is cool for spotting things like that. I always try to have someone video my races. Hope you and your family are well. Have fun!

Nice, your foams seem to have faired better than mine did, I pretty much had the same, but where I'm running, I had a lot more gravel in there and tore up 2 of mine as to not be useable anymore. So the spares on mine aren't functional anymore (threw the chewed up ones in there). Also, love these wheels, looks real nice on your truck.

I love the look of the outside of the wheels, but the inside makes it look like a relatively low profile tire. Is that just an illusion, or does it not matter since they're not pneumatic?
@blakedenley37922 жыл бұрын
you should add a short triple whoops section in your track somewhere for the baja trucks

Kinda looks like you've moved the shock further back on the trailing arm, was this on purpose? Just seams like there's less travel in the rear suspension since you upgraded those arms.

More dampening. Also at the extreme angles the ujoint as wear fast and break.

Look so good. 250 $ is hard to swallow. I went cheap and just bought the rings and used on the stock wheel. Soon I’ll bite the bullet on shiny wheels
@kingwillie2062 жыл бұрын
You can dye the stock wheels and save money, run time, and weight. Metal wheels look cool on the shelf, but they aren’t practical for running.
@mikejones48012 жыл бұрын
@@kingwillie206 why aren’t they practical for running I find the stock wheels get shredded easily and I’m constantly replacing
@kingwillie2062 жыл бұрын
@@mikejones4801 - They are great for scale runs, but not bashing. There is definitely a trade off. More heat generation due to excessive shear force and too much added weight. People are already blowing diffs on stock wheels and adding a ball and chain only increases the stress on the drive train. And I don’t know what you are doing to shred wheels, but driving hard enough to do so definitely isn’t conducive to aluminum wheels. I run mine on 12S and haven’t shredded any wheels. Can you run them, yes. Will your truck be as fast, be as reliable and responsive, or jump as good? No. If you do run them either lock your diff or upgrade to the GPM though.
@mikejones48012 жыл бұрын
@@kingwillie206 I just ordered 6 vivaton aluminum wheels, while running the stock wheels on 8s this truck is nuts so while rolling or bumping very soon the rims give out if you look there very thin and not proportional to the force placed on them so I’m trying to correct that and stay with the scale look
@kingwillie2062 жыл бұрын
@@mikejones4801 - You will end up going back to the stock wheels for certain types of runs. Just reinforce them with gorilla tape.

Do you still need to glue the tires with beadlocks?
@marc91642 жыл бұрын
My wheels came in today and I don’t like the offset, it pushes the wheels out on the front so it rubs the fender body too much, I’ve decided to just use the bead locks.

I don't know if I have seen a 1:1 trophy truck go off a jump and drop 20' to a flat landing. It seems to me that they are always landing on a down-slope. I would like to see your big jump be made of wood which could be pulled out. It's your track so you enjoy it how you like it. Just voicing my opinion so take it for what it is

Man Vitavon makes some awesome stuff absolute works of art! I just ordered a vitavon kit with the rear axle, wheels and a ton of other stuff as well basically bought everything he had available for my Super Rock Rey. The wheels come in the kit, do you know if the factory SRR tires are glued on or are they beadlocks? I'm still waiting for my SRR to arrive, if the tires are glued which I think they are can you tell me the best way to remove them from the stock wheels? Heat? or will they just pull off? Don't want to damage the tires when trying to remove them. Love your videos, you have such a cool place to run your rc's....jealous for sure!!!!
