Fast forward a few weeks and this showed up on my front porch from Losi. This is one sweet ride-and independent suspension U4 Rock Racing RC from Losi based on the Lasernut 1:1.

I dig it, by the end of the day it's a Ten platform with a different body. The call it a rock racer, vaterra had the twin hammers which is no longer made. I wonder if this is the predecessor? Awesome review Tony.

I have a rock rey and tt pro, and I will most likely purchase this, because out of the box they are the best way to go. But I wish they continued to offer a BND version!

This is handles way different than the DB pro. That feel more like a short course/buggy and this is more like a bomber or rock Rey. Those are solid axle though. This is super easy to work on with this cage design.

I think this model fits nicely between the rock rey and db pro...the rock rey with the solid axel can tend to be unstable at higher speeds and the db fast and handles well but doesn't have the ground clearance that the lasernut will have.

Just get a db pro and put taller tires on it. Still cool tho. Wish they would make a kit version so we can choose our own electronics. Makes no sense why spektrum just came out with all these new esc's and they arent sensored.

Anyone else remember when Axial released a kit about 8-9 yrs ago called dessert buggy something I forgot I built one them sold it, but ya very similar to the silhouette of that but way beefier and better just better overall love the helmets w oxygen tube so sick and of course the trademark copper penny rims! 🤩

I just received mine and quickly ran it on cement. I noticed a couple things and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions: 1. My turns are no way as tight as yours in the video. 2. Steering doesn’t stay fully engaged (left or right) when I drive. It slowly moves back to center. 3. When I tune down AVC completely, my steering completely turns off. It moves a hair to the left or right. Is there something I need to do?

I got the Losi DB Pro this Monday, and looking to add this Lazernut to the collection. Are / Do you have any issues with the 12mm hex? Notice several YTers complaining about wheels flying off! Also do you know if the Hot Racing 12mm to 17mm hex kit will work with LOSI RCs? Thanks

I’m guessing they justify the difference because it’s a 4s motor, bigger tires and an extra one. Also has a better servo for those bigger wheels.

Usually a paintbrush and an air compressor. Water from a hose if things are sticking. Then I usually use Cow RC moo slick (or WD40) on the plastics and turnbuckles. Then air compressor it again.

I'm thinking about buying the lasernut but been hearing it's got a few problems is this true? It looks great but but I don't want to have something I can't use because part's availability is not good where I live. any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

Some people have had problems with the driveshafts, but I Haven’t. Mine needs a new servo because of the rough terrain I drive it on at speed. I have a reefs raw500 I plan to drop in it.

The esc can handle 4s but not the motor...but you could put the 1900kv motor in the db and run 4s

True 👍 this exb boy idk what say bc I like arrma , I always suggested granite as best first rc you could get for the money truthfully I had more run time and fun that little truck all my arrmas , we put alot time into 6s setups so using treacherous conditions ruins them quick granite I've used rain snow ect ect so cheap to rebuild getting parts from jennys .
