Losing 100 Lbs with Big Mike is a transformation series of Mike Rashid King, an entrepreneur in the fitness space, helping his friend Michael White (Big Mike) lose 100 lbs.
Mike Rashid noticed that Big Mike was always at the gym, but never looked any different. Never seemed like he was losing weight. He also saw the things Big Mike was doing in the gym to be ineffective in what Big Mike needed in regards to getting in better shape.
Mike Rashid offered to help Big Mike lose weight, but the only catch was, it had to be filmed. Mike Rashid wants to use Big Mike's journey to help so many others in his shoes get the motivation, and/ or try the things that Mike has him doing in the series in regards to training and nutrition.
Big Mike's journey will help save many lives, being that heart disease, is the number one leading cause of mortality in the United States.
Mike Rashid and his team has designed a very specific training and nutrition protocol to get Big Mike to a healthy and fit weight.

The best part of this is Mike Rashid is looking for a weight loss progression not a microwave job we’re he looses a bunch of weight and then gains it right back. That shows he cares about his longevity! Love these guys and what they are going to accomplish.

Big Mike has good arms and calves. I can tell once the muscle comes to the surface and there’s less body fat…his Body is going to be on point. Keep up the great work. This is inspiring me to go and look up what Mike Rashid has to offer as well; I need to lose weight also! Great job gentlemen!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I am so glad y’all are tapping in all of what the black community need to heal. Health is definitely one of them. Another thing y’all should add is black men coming back collectively to create mentorship for our black boys, young black men, and older black men. Y’all need to build a community nationwide because there are too many “Jeremy Browns” (a.k.a. Pookies and RayRays) going around in our community. Bring Dr. Umar Johnson to the channel to talk more about this. Also, bring back healthy segments of happily married black couples to your channel too. Talk about black love more, the impact of financial economics in broken homes versus a healthy 2 parent home or even a healthy coparenting situation, absent fathers, family financial planning, etc. Bring Dr. Boyce Watkins and Roland Martin too. We need black men on the channel who believes in true 100% black ownership across the board.

I do appreciate you saying from the outset that there will have to be adjustments along the way that it’s not just a linear weight loss (4-6 a week every week). And because he’s got a big base of muscle it’ll be interesting to see how he looks as he loses it.

Congratulation Big Mike on the weight loss, it best to drop the weight slow it give you and your body a better chance to adjust and keep the weight off. Typically, we tell people to get an annual physical, which includes lab work or blood work. Insurance will not generally pay 100% for more than the annual physical unless you have a diagnosis, take a medication that requires it, or are being worked up for a procedure or surgery. You're welcome to get your blood checked more frequently, just keep in mind what you're checking because somethings fluctuate easily and require weekly monitoring like coumadin (a blood thinner) or take about 3 months to see a difference like hemoglobin A1c which is used to monitor diabetes. Places like CVS have affordable packages and you can see all the cost upfront. Just keep in mind, since they are not a primary care provider, they are limited by what they can do.

Mike Rasheed is all bro science. You will burn much more calories focusing on cardio. An hour walk will burn 5x more calories then your hardest resistance session and it’s more sustainable. Weight training is important but cardio is faster & more effective.
