R.E.M.: One of the top 10 bands of all-time, and quite possibly the #1 greatest American band ever. Alot of the reasons why are on full display here. I just fucking love this band, song, and clip.

The painted toy horse. I gave that to Michael in Vancouver in 1986. Mind boggled to see it again. Always wondered what happened to it after that gig.

Man! The early 90s music scene, the fashion, the vibe, the culture was amazing. I wish I had been older and been able to be apart of that scene, but alas, I was only 8 years old so I wasn’t. Unfortunately, for me, my teens was dominated by teen pop and the misogynistic, homophobic nu-metal genre. The Woodstock ‘99 documentary on HBO Max made me embarrassed by my generation. How could we flip so quickly from progressive and enlightened to what we saw in the late 90s with Limp Bizkit, Korn and Kid Rock just to name a few.
