This is why privatisation in my opinion has screwed up the railways. Let's hope Great british Railways gives the Railways in Britain a good kick up the rear and actually run them properly. We don't need 28 different companies running our railways. 1 company is plenty. Also, hopefully this'll end rising ticket fares and staff strikes. And let's hope this new company treats its staff better because I have heard some train operating companies don't treat there staff well hence why there is strikes.

All of the city beams are by the south Western railways and the reason the SWR class 707 changed into a city beam is because people didn't get on the train much.

They will only keep it until 2023, when all franchises end. It will then be up to GB Rail (replacement for Network Rail} to award a paid management contract to run the service, but have no dealings to with anything else. So it is unlikely GO-Ahead will be awarded a management contract, The southern network is run as a management contract, and has been for years, and we know how bad things are on this service.

I would like to see the operator of last result to to come in & Go-Ahead to be stripped from the GTR franchise
