Yes! I finished it a few hours before it left Netflix and I’ve already been wanting to rewatch it. I watched Lost for the first time with my Mum during lockdown and every night at dinner we would watch 2 or 3 episodes. I usually watch tv shows on my own so it was nice to discuss certain moments and point out different things that we both missed with someone. TRIVIA: 🌴🛫🌄🛬🌴 The original ending of this episode was to see Jack { he would have been played by guest actor Michael Keating } die and take the place of the pilot in the tree and have Kate become the leader of our castaways aka Losties but the powers that be decided to keep Jack alive so they revamped the character of Jack and hired Matthew Fox for the role. Shortly after filming the pilot the actors who play Kate { Evangeline Lilly } and Charlie { Dominic Monaghan } began dating in real life and they remained a couple for four seasons of the show.

This show was the first time I started going on message boards and reading anything I could with theories. Immediately after the finale, with tears still in my eyes, I was looking up message boards 😂

Same but my internet searching started on day one, trying to find their flight path to see how wide the search area would be and if there is an island there. I scoured the interwebs message boards for theory discussions and settled in for the short or long haul I’ve never paid more attention to background details in a show before. Especially when Dharma came into play. Even Wikipedia was fairly new, which is why Lostpedia began. Everything means something and is connected to something else…. Real John Locke (philosopher), the Third Police Man, Flash comic Fast Friends, polar bears, electromagnetism, MKUltra/Stanford experiment, lord of the flies, watership down, slave ships, maps of the pacific, maps of the island, Lost-tv, biblical passages and so much more to question and wonder about. I’m pretty sure that the fans asked for more Easter eggs by season 2, to chase in our downtime and nearly every time I’d realize that in some small way they put something totally random in there that would just fit like a mini puzzle piece in our search for everything being connected (Thanks Carlton). What blew my mind is the writers getting interactive with the fans and anonymously reading the boards. I’m positive that we talked a lot about the Mayan calendar (oh crap is that what happened to the Mayans?) ending in 2012 well before they put a picture of it in the background of someone’s office as a wink and nod to the fans. The symbiotic relationship between writers, producers, composers, actors and fans was just 💋🤌 Looks like this is the next iteration of Lost fans 😉 I’m here for it.

The thing that first really drew me into watching BlindWave on a regular basis was Erik sharing Game of Thrones with Calvin. He’s really good at being really excited about something, guiding someone through just a little bit, and not being too spoilery. (At least generally speaking.) I love the combo here of Erik giving that excited reaction to a show he obviously loves and his face as he hit various moments; and Rick going in fresh to experience it.

Absolutely love this show. I remember watching this in middle school with my family, and being super bummed when I couldn't keep up cause Rocket Club moved to wednesdays. Won a contest cause of the extra time we got out of it tho, so in the end, totally worth. Can't wait to watch this with you two!
