@@brucesimmons5517 . I would say the show is as good as the movie, and a lot better when you take into account that it offers many more hours. The story is similar to the one in the movie at the beginning of the show, but not exactrly the same, and then it is explored more deeply.

This show always leaves you with questions, but the start of this season probably made me the most confused until I realized what was going on (but that doesn't mean all my questions were answered, of course). Also, my sister was watching Hawaii Five-0 yesterday, which I knew Jin's actor was in, but all of a sudden I started hearing Terry O'Quinn, and I freaked out. They were on a helicopter together, which was cool, but unfortunately, there was no Lapidus.

@@DRush76 we aren’t supposed to be concerned, but it’s a heartbreaking moment for Hurley, who is a fan favorite character. He probably was the one who suggested she was part of the story to have her remembered in some way because otherwise why not say Jin survived long enough to get Sun pregnant. Boone was the first major death and was a major part of the hatch discovery, she was important to Hurley and he never forgot about her, and charlie led to them getting rescued. She was just an innocent character who was murdered. Hence why Michael had flashes of her and not Ana Lucia

The editing choices for this ep seemed kind of odd and choppy. Skipped over pretty pivotal moments like Richard saying 'You're gonna have to die, John'... and Sayid telling Hurley that if he runs into Ben, 'whatever he tells you, just do the opposite.' And, I mean, we do know why Desmond is special. He was exposed to, and survived, an extreme amount of electromagnetism and radiation. Of course, he likely may have always been uniquely special... born that way... predisposing him to that ability.

Why was it Desmond who answered and not Kelvin? After Kelvin died, Desmond would know that wearing the hazmat suit wasn’t necessary so where was Kevin during this? I don’t remember them having two suits unless I’m not remembering correctly.

@@oompie815 Not really. Just because Desmond saw Kelvin take his suit off, doesn't mean he then thought it wasn't necessary to wear it. Remember, Kelvin was planning on leaving at some point, and was questioning if the button was even real. He may have questioned the infection as well, or he just stopped caring because he just wanted to leave that badly. Kelvin's belief in all of it had become shaky. Desmond's belief, on the other hand, most likely grew, especially after failing to push the button in time and seeing everything shake and get thrown around. When season 2 starts, we see Desmond taking the vaccine. Then, when John first enters the hatch, Desmond asks him how many of his people have gotten infected. After the computer is shot and Desmond can't fix it, he packs up some things so he can run away, including a bunch of the vaccine bottles. He absolutely still believes that there is something to be afraid of.
