Hello, I'm a Korean player playing on a Korean server. From the perspective of Koreans, this video is a very good video for beginners. The basic introduction and explanation are very good. It's easy to understand. The next video will be more helpful for beginners if you start the game and tell them what to do in order. For example, after the story is over, full-fledged internal stability (which is called this in Korea, which refers to all of the growth content other than equipment reinforcement) and importance. Usually, the first priority is content to get skill points. What I want to tell everyone waiting for this game is not p2w game. Of course, it is a game that requires a lot of money for rapid growth (material purchase for equipment reinforcement), but the competition between game players is determined by their character's affection and proficiency regardless of growth. Please enjoy the story slowly and enjoy various contents. Once again, thank you for making this video. Three years have passed in Korea, but it is currently called godgame. There were times of darkness in Korea, too, and there were times when the evaluation was not good, but the general manager of this game loved this game more than anyone else, considered the player more important than anyone else, and has been developing it, so this game can now be called a god game in Korea. I hope you all believe in this game and enjoy it.

@Dan B lineage may have been a top tier mmo back in... what, 20 years ago? But now it's being mocked as a garbage, p2w money whoring game with pathetic BM that only focuses on sucking up the money from the middle aged men who used to play lineage back in the days. It's been viewed that way for quite a while now, but especially in recent couple of years their reputation has really hit the rock bottom and the company's stocks crashed significantly. So yeah, Lost Ark seems to have no match in the mmo genre in S.Korea since last year for sure. Mainly due to how fed up the Korean mmo gamers are with the pathetic p2w BMs of the existing mmo games. And how Lost Ark has been showing the opposite of that. The Dev's been open, honest with the game and thet clearly love what they create.

I think it's worthwhile to mention to newbies that what he refers to as 'subclasses' in this game are just THE classes. You start as them immediately and stay as them for the entire game. Subclass/specialization mechanics show up when you get introduced to the engravings system later on. Each class has two class engravings that alter the core gimmick of the class, and THESE are what're going to feel like you picked a subclass.

I've played Lost Ark on RU servers with 0 lag since the beginning. I'm in Europe (But my country has border with Russia) so there is literally NO lag whatsoever( however VPN has to be used). I've leveled multiple characters and seen almost all raids/islands/ and all there is to see. Its a GREAT game and I can recommend it to Anyone. Will also be playing in Europe on launch day.

Raiding is actually in 8 man groups. The 16 man raid, the Kaiser raid was recalled after poor reception from the KR player base play tested this raid. It has since been in re-balancing by smilegate to this day. The current raids in KR are Argos, Valtan, Biakiss, Kuku Saton and Bralshaza Raids which are ALL 8 man raids. Hopefully the roadmap conference in KR will explain what to hope for the future.

Many streamers will be covering the details, but the most prevalent one, Saintone will have a live translator available to clarify any details. This conference will cover the 2022 roadmap for the KR, icluding content updates, balancing, new features, etc. While it isn’t directly related to the NA/EU release, it is certainly content that will eventually make its way to the Western launch.

I will tell you about the classes that, for some reason, are not on the NA / EU. In the archetype of warriors, there is the Crusher - a character with a HUGE hammer. He is very slow and clumsy, but this is compensated by the force of his blows. It is better to choose moments to charge the blow: there is nothing worse than just not having time to hit. The MARTIAL ARTIST archetype contains the Master of the Spear. They have two weapons - a glaive and a spear. The first has a moon theme and has a lot of skills for massive strikes. When you press Z, you change your weapon to a spear that has a solar temetica. The spear already has fewer skills, but they are all aimed at damage to one target. Gameplay involves switching between stances. The Gunner archetype includes a Scout who is armed with a submachine gun and an accompanying drone. It has 3 types of skills: using a pistol, operator skills (drone) and cooperation skills, where both the character and the drone are involved. Using the last two, you accumulate a core scale, which allows you to turn into Iron Man with everything attached. (The Shadow Hunter has the same mechanic.) The mage archetype has an Arcanologist who uses a deck of cards as a weapon and this class is VERY RANDOM. Throughout the battle, your scale is replenished, when you fill it up, you are given one of 18 cards with different effects. A lot of skill enhancements when pumping also adds a very large share of randomness, there are percentages of probability everywhere, so the class itself is inherently a melee fighter, good mobility saves. There is also a sorceress, she will soon be added in Russia. Like the summoner, she has many elemental skills, but she uses them not indirectly by the method of summoning spirits, but directly. Meteorite, freezing rain, fireball, lightning, METEORITE RAIN. In the Assassin archetype, there is a reaper armed with one blade. He has 3 types of skills. Greens can poison enemies when they are strengthened, purple - using chaos energy, and red - harvest skills. When filling the class scale, you can go into invisibility leaving a double, and when you wait, the harvest skills are strengthened many times over. P.S. Striker and Wardancer, as well as Gunslinger and Deadeye are the same classes of different genders, but with a slight difference in skills.

Lost Ark doesn't look like what I'd typically refer to when bringing up MMORPG games. The massively multi-player aspect of MMO'S looks to be minimal. It seems to be a RPG with ARPG & MMORPG aspects.

You might not be getting the full MMO effect because we didn't really showcase it in this video. The cities are full of people and there are a lot of social aspects of the game. We had a week to really dive into the NA/EU version of the content and we were powering past most people so it was a bit hard to showcase that side of the game.

32:22 that thing is called hyper express which is made for players suffering at moment of item lv around 1340, where had the highest quit rate becuz it was..well, gave not that much benefit for what they grind at that phase which giving them chance to skio the whole process and go to 1415 immediately. And this is not shop based stuff but gave to all players ended up at 1340 or something(if it is the event period which gives you that) , and LOA ON at 12/18 even upgraded this to 1445 express in kr server and seeing the case of sorceress, i believe this will also come to na. Good info, my only criticism would be, please use Account-wide and server-wide properly.. just an example, mokoko seeds, are not account wide, they are server wide. Reroll a new server and nothing seems to carry over.

Is it on Unreal Engine 3 or what? It does look very outdated and "your basic Korean MMO" from visual perspective, though I have not finished watching the video yet to learn about the mechanics that potentially make this game stand out. Still, I am worried "first impression" of it being visually unimpressive may play a role for me and many others. Being isometric 2.5D helps it a bit, I suppose?

How much of the content can you do solo? Also are all the classes viable solo? I like to play in groups but I would say I play solo 90% of the time.

there is a lot of content that you can play solo, but there is content that you need a group. they will increase the hp of guardian raid bosses so most likely you will need to join a group. the guardian bosses were supposed to be group content but players can do it solo so they will increase their hp. the guardian bosses have time limit and with increased hp you won't be able to do it solo. Bard and Paladin are mostly support so they lack dps so you'll need a dps class or join a group.

Most of your "optional content" section is actually a must have in Lost Arks end game, you can be kicked from a party if you don't have the right cards for the situation or if you have a low legacy level

Right, but don't forget, most people who play MMOs are casual, and to them, getting to Abyss Dungeons and eventually raids isn't even something they're interested in. That's why it's optional.

In the words of the director who made the story himself... The story structure of Lost Ark is said to consist of Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. The story so far is said to have progressed from part 1 to about 70% of the story.
