It’s crazy to me that halo was planned to have a PS2 port before Microsoft bought the IP, could you imagine if the halo franchise was multi platform instead of an Xbox exclusive franchise that would be crazy

If that was the case Halo would still be on top. Microsoft is incompetent if it comes to managing their IPs. The simple fact that 343 still has the rights to manage Halo after all the stupid things they have done over the years, says it all...

Interesting the list of cancelled titles, a lot of them actually I never heard of before and I'm surprised that there was a Getaway 3 in the works and was cancelled..., also that Eight Days game looks quite neat!, too bad that was cancelled too... In my case I have heard other PlayStation titles that was cancelled due either by perfomance issues in the port, license problem or unknown reasons, some that I remember are: Agent: The PS3 exclusive Rockstar Games title that was announced back on E3 2009 and we never hear it again, lol!. Earthworm Jim PSP: A new title of the Earthworm Jim series that was in development by Atari for the PSP, it was supposed to be (based on the gameplay video of the first level) a 2.5D platformer game, sadly it was cancelled by the economical problems that Atari suffered at that time (as far I know). Titan A.E: Based on the movie this was a PS1 game that was in development but then it was cancelled by surprise (no idea if was by a license issue or the fact that the movie was a flop at the box office) but here is one funny thing, the game got a CD Demo version release in somepoint, the full game was never complete but still the demo version had an amount of the game saved. Dead Rising 3: There was plans of a port for the PS3 (or PS4?, I don't remember it very well) but by perfomance issues it was cancelled.

There's also "Six Days in Fallujah", cancelled in 2009 for PS3, but then released for PS4/PS5 in 2023. "Deadly Premonition" was being developed for the PS2 with the title "Rainy Woods". That version was eventually dropped, in favor of PS3 and 360. The PSP was going to get "Resident Evil Portable", but we never heard from that game since. And finally, "Thrill Kill" was cancelled for the PS1, and then reskinned as "Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style" sometime later.

Lol remember the dlc for the ps3 port of black ops 3 got canned? All we got was dlc 1 then they just said never mind.

Would love to see a sequel of this. The PSVita has tons of unreleased and so did the PSP. The PSVita for example almost gotten a Medal of Honor title from Slant Six and Warrior's Lair from Idol Minds was shown at E3 only for it to get cancelled due to Sony's focus on the PS4 and also Idol Minds suffering layoffs. As for the PSP. It almost gotten Earthworm Jim and a Resident Evil game. I would say Duke Nukem, Saints Row and Elder Scrolls but prototypes of these unreleased are saved and preserved online meaning they are no longer lost media. Btw, Hammerhead did the Quake II port.

The games that come to my mind are a Resident Evil game (either a port or a new game) for PSP, MGS4 for PS Vita (although it could've been just a tech demo), and another MGS game for PS Vita i remember reading about that also got canceled though it was a good couple of years ago and it might've been not true/from a good source.

MGS4 on PSVita would of been wild. Rumors have it that MGS4's source code was messy, making it hard to port. That being said, RDR1 was the same and was just ported to Switch. So maybe MGS4 remaster soon 😅

The moment i saw the video title, i immediately thought of Fast & Furious. No, not the Tokyo Drift one. The one set on daytime with FNF and 2F2F cars, made by Acclaim. You can see screenshots of the cancelled game with a Supra in a garage, and an RX-7 FD with city buildings in the background. There’s also a screenshot of a purple R34 with a Veilside kit. I guess the game lives on as the Tokyo Drift game, which had horrendous physics imo.

Absolutely! I think the reboot was well done, but Prey 2 looked so good. Even their e3 showing looked promising.

@@MAWK3 Yeah,Hell I want both the OG PREY 2 and the sequel to the Reboot but if I had to choose then I'd definetly pick the OG one,Regardless Im gonna keep hoping for a miracle now that the ex Human Head Studios (now known as Roundhouse Studios) are owned by Bethesda,Hopefully they can negotiate something
