When I was about 10 yo, we gave away our 8 months old puppy to a friend about 40 miles away. It was the last one from a pool of 8 liters. Three days later, his new owner showed up and asked if the dog had returned home and he hadn’t seen him for more than 24 hours. We were all saddened by the news. At around 5 AM the next morning, we all woke up by the barking of the dog (he had so many names then but none stick) at our doorstep. My grandmother apologized to the new owner that wouldn’t return the dog to him. He understood! To this day, I’m grateful to grandma and the supposedly “New Owner”! It taught me many amazing lessons about life!

I don’t understand! The picture of the dog they lost was golden brown! Not the grey in the dog in the shelter! And you cut the video short! The dog was pleased to see her but it was not a recognition after a year apart!

Even if the neighbor told me she had died... where's the body??? How did she die?? Why would you believe what a neighbour says and why in the world would he have more information than you do as an owner?!

Chip your animals!!! Again you see how important that's is. The poor animals could have been home sooner if the owner would be responsible.

I'd like to now why the neighbor lied to them about their dog been dead I think the neighbor had something to do with the dog going missing and maybe stole it and abandoned him because they don't love dogs The family should report the neighbor to the police officers

Sorry but that dog doesn’t look like the dog on her phone. Notice how the dog reacted. I would have expected the dog to go crazy which it did not. Something funny about this one.

Ok so my trust in these stories are very limited. We once rescue a cat that someone had abandoned when moving. Later on they came around and found out we had the cat. Oh n behold now they want their cat back. They love him. OH NO you not. We saw with our own eyes how cold you were n abandoned him. Walked around like nothing while he followed you. You not getting your cat. We found a true loving forever home for him. He was cared for and loved till the day he passed away. Now that cat was really loved. And his new family had moved 3 times after getting him. They said next time he would get so scare of being abandoned. But each time he saw that they didn't abandoned him he became more in love with them. We were so happy that this cat was so well loved n cared for. And that at the end he died in the arms of his forever family loved n happy

Get your animals chipped...even if you don't believe they would ever leave your yard or get lost...because you never know that one time they get the idea to go because they see another animal or maybe for no reason at all...just get them chipped...you will raise the possibility of them getting back to you by over 80%! They were were loyal to you and are counting on you to do your very best for them. And never give up hope....

Why did their neighbour say their dog was dead, if she wasn’t, though? Kinda makes it sound like the neighbour took their dog to another location & just dumped her, then lied to her family (maybe the neighbour didn’t like the dog for some reason, IDK). Whatever happened, there’s definitely more to this story & I hope they can keep this poor doggo safe after her ordeal. 🫢🤷‍♀️
