I thought I lost one of my premature endler fry, didn't find the body, but presumed it ☠️. A couple of weeks ago, I actually thought I saw it, but because the fry kept moving and there's so many plants, I couldn't get a good count on them. Today during a water change, I confirmed that I never lost it at all-- 🎉🎉 Just a crappy net and an escape artist 😂

LMAO - as a guppy guy, I stopped trying to count fry after the first 3 females I had dropped armies. Glad you found the baby, and lucky you! It's great when they show early and you can separate them to prevent unwanted breeding ... I always seem to end up with 2 or 3 gravid females among my unsexable juveniles.

I've never had guppies do well for me, but I have heard of their huge broods! This tank is for an experiment for me to see if tank temperature affects the gender of the fry, so I like having a good count on them. The biggest brood I've ever had an endler have is 8 at once though, so it's a little easier to keep track, unless there's so many plants I can't find my dang fish, lol 😂. @@quki3 no, it's all the same day, the female endlers are much smaller than female guppies. I've heard they can have up to 20, but 8 has been my largest brood. More often it's 3-5.

I so thought I failed one of the preemies, so finding out that it was just a crafty little thing is a *great* feeling! Love the name! It also sounds like "laugh", which this little fry did give me a good one, and it continues to because ever since I caught it and re- released it, it's just been hanging out with all the others right out in the open 🤦‍♀️ 🤣. I'll really consider that name if I can end up telling it apart from the others when it's grown up! Yes it was a huge relief, I was overjoyed! ☺️ I have big tangle of Pogostemon octopus in there that sort of serves the same purpose as guppy grass, which is one I can't seem to grow. Just sinks and dies off fairly quickly. I've been told it's because I have too much flow, but I've tried it in a bucket and it still just sank, lol. Oh well, I'm ok with some plants not liking me as long as others do 😅! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it! 😊

@@TarasTankFriends I'm surprised that you had difficulty with guppy grass, considering how easy it is to grow compared to P. octopus. Since you've tried it in a bucket with no flow, it might just come down to the fact that some new plants may melt when introduced to a new environment. Or due to the fact it grows so fast, it may have sucked up all the nutrients in the water.
