6 months after this movie ends Abby breaks up with Luke to go back to Edward only Edward has run off with Abbys Mom. Meanwhile Luke moves back to Alaska and adopts and raises an abandoned Polar bear cub. Ten years later Abby finally tacks down Luke living in a van in Alaska to get Luke to sign the divorce papers from their 2nd marriage and the now 9 foot tall bear feels rejected by Luke and eats them both. It's been years. You can fall in love with someone else during that time. A thing I have come to figure out is while you can still have the blues from your first love, you can move on. I have started to fall out of love with these what if situations while the person who loves the protagonist gets hurt in the process. Years away from the first love is a long time to just leave the fiance to pursue someone who has become a stranger over the years despite familiarity. Edward deserved better. If the protagonist could not answer how she loved Edward then the guy is better off without being strung along. I would rather that this took place right after the engagement so that the protagonist could have time to process the situation and then conclude she could marry her fiance without any regrets. Or yeah the ending changed a little so it is not rushed over three days.

It wasn’t the mother, it was him. Time to stop blaming her, take him off the pedestal and rip off the bandage. My husband’s family was against our marriage. They did everything to separate us, but he didn’t want to hear a word about it. Even after us having a child, they were very determined not to have anything to do with us to the point of never bonding with our kid ( their first grandchild). My husband tolerated it for a while until he just had enough and said that his wife and kids come first and that they are just a guests in our home and family and they should behave themselves if they want to be welcomed there. They didn’t and we haven’t seen each other for over a decade. Because of my personal experience, when man loves a woman for real, he would do everything to make it work and remove any obstacle. Time for you to heal from what happened and finally find someone who would know how to love you. Your ex obviously didn’t know, even though he maybe wanted

Why couldn't they stay married and both go do their own thing and just meet up for vacations? Or take turns staying with each other and doing the thing they want to do.

Luke was the wrong choice. What about Edward? you're just going to leave him out of the blue because you reconnected with your ex who didn't have the backbone to stand by u back then?

See If I wrote this movie abby will marry edward. Yes, her mother played dirty but luke did leave her unapologetically and like he hoped, she would build her life much better. He needs to let her go so that she can continue doing so.

I feel sorry for our children and how they have been programmed with fear of the future. People This planet is 20% greener today than it was in 2000. More trees and other plant life than ever. Wanna help. Stop throwing your trash out the window and take everything with you when you leave a camp!!

This movie makes it very hard for people to love as there will always be 'what if's in their life. what if she had a strong relationship in the past. what If she is still in love with him. what if she is doesn't love me as much she did for her first love. what if she meets the love of her life again/later. what if she has a past which will make her leave me. .........

This proves once and for all that love is the worst thing in the world, only good people get hurt by it, selfish ones get away saying that they are not happy. Also marriage is a financial scam, don't know how people are stupid enough to fall for it despite seeing the disastrous consequences especially in this modern world.

Yoooo anyone else really hate these kinds of movies?? Like I feel like a lot of people watch this crap and have a wonderful partner but will go back to that toxic X who says they've changed their ways or some bs 😂😂 don't fully trust people folks with your heart! don't be blind when they call you being possessive and controlling on Legit arguments, tell them its about respecting your feelings/concerns and talking about what boundaries you should set for eachother, Example- ok to have opposite sex friends but no X's and no weird camping trips when its only gonna be you two together 😂

This thread made it crystal clear why so many men and woman are single. The woman are all: Luke Luke Luke Luke everything is his fault and completely obsolve and or drastically under sell what the mother did and everybody else is yea Edward is innocent here and Luke still messed up but not all the blame goes on him.
