The Cotai strip where the Venetian, Parisian, Londoner, city of dreams etc… stands was all sea. So it’s a reclamation land. If you continue going straight from the panda park you will reach a place called coloanne. It’s an ancient village where it was formerly a fishing port too. You can just see mainland china just across the sea. Actually the first original lord stow bakery you bought the port egg tart come from coloanne. They still have their shop there. They also have the 2 beaches in Macau the Hac Sa beach meaning black sand beach. The sand might be black but it’s all safe to swim. On the other side they have a smaller one named coloanne beach.

Those high rises near the panda pavillon are residential buildings called One Oasis. I was born in Macau but grew up in Canada. I still go back to Macau once a year. Great video!

Macau is my second hometown, I was born in Beijing, and grow up 3-7 in Macau, this place has changed a lot, but if you have chance, visit Praia de Hac Sá, it's a beach I went BBQ with family when I was a kid. Hope you enjoy the time in Macau!

I live in the apartments that you commented on behind the panda enclosure. I actually look onto the panda park. The develop is actually quite affordable to rent but expensive to buy.

Most of the Americans who come to Las Vegas are farmers. But tourists to Macau are wealthy Asians, they come to Macau to gamble. Not like poor Americans come to Las Vegas just to experience the attractions.

Macau has no authentic culture and IT SHOWS so strikingly. Not Chinese enough to enjoy or not Western enough to not care at all. Places like this, previous super colonies in the East, give this super depressing feeling in my mind for some reason hahaaa.
