Facts. I’m 26 years old and absolutely loved this game. Theres something about the art style and characters that makes the game feel amazing even when you’re just walking through a town. A sequel is 100% needed.

Story is great, design is incredible, the narrator has me laughing quite a bit.. But this review is not wrong when it comes to the combat. Battles do feel like they last 15-20m each and slows the whole game down substantially. Especially if you die during a boss fight/event.

@@therealgamer619 it sounds like the game's enemies are dumb enough that making it any easier might detract from the fun, just too many enemies spawn. Not sure if this was just a poor choice or a deliberate decision to pad out the games runtime with how much weight people put into a games duration these days

Your doing something wrong if a battle is taking that long,combos help and using the bomb is a very quick way to kill them,also using the bots other bots helps a lot especially in boss fights

Anyone else think it's a little ironic that the review calls the game "wholly original", then goes on to talk about how the art style is lifted directly from Tim Burton, Coraline and Shell Silverstein? Not saying it's a bad thing that the game take influence from those people - the art style is very cool. But calling it "original" seems like a stretch when it looks exactly like the work of several other extremely popular artists. Even the music seems to be influenced directly from Gobin's Suspira soundtrack.

I like the game but I would not score it an 8. More like a 7 tops for me. The story is very enjoyable but some of the mini-games/battles have playability issues. There were three instances where I needed a specific card to drop in order to advance and it just would not happen despite having a three of them in my deck. So after 30 minutes I had to quit the game and restart.

The combat is boring times twenty. A small number of cards and weapons. Bad idea of gaining cards from shooting those shitty crystals. Combat destroyed my fun and made me lose interest in the story. The story is predictable and side quests are repetitive (talk to someone => get guest=> talk to someone else=> come back => end) or (talk to someone => kill monsters in a long boring fight => take some item => come back => end). Dialogue options are meaningless. The animation is ok not great. The only noteworthy is worldbuilding and overall atmosphere and visuals.

The only positive thing about EA is their indie games program (EA originals). Fe, unravel and a way out were all great. Sea of solitude was decent too, still need to play it takes two.
