After many years it's time to make this big guy even better (I hope, LOL). In this video I'll show and explain the progress I made as I rebuilt parts of the two B9 robot arms that I first finished building over 5 years ago.
This is the second in a series of upgrades I'm doing to my full sized Lost In Space B9 Robot. There will be many more to follow God willing. I''ll add a link below to my Bubble Lifter video.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy

I am very partial to the old heavier claws.... :) Dave never ceases to amaze me with his ingenuity, and patience. He would have made a great shop teacher!

LOL, thanks my friend! However I need to disagree with being a shop teacher. I'd probably get fired because I'd be a bit too real and trueful for a lot of these young minds and parents of today.

Amazing. Getting more 'lifelike' in its' arm movements. Brilliant.

@@DavidSchulpius Your welcome ! Your B9 looks also very expensive ! I'm always suprised when I start tinkering how fast it's getting out of control.... Still I can't get enough of it. Your robot build is also stimulating me to carry on... Still in love with my EZ-Robot controller, however now I'm trying RPi and Python too. Keep it comming !

So very nice! I hope you have a friend with an AI background to help with the software. A cluster of Raspberry Pi compute modules could really help it pick out it's own upgrades! Seriously, though, you've done an amazing job, and it's been fascinating watching your journey. Thanks so much for letting us come along for the ride!

Thanks my friend! I'm glad you have enjoyed the trip. I know I have. You know, you can flash a Raspberry Pi and turn it into an inexpensive EZB. That's probably what I'd do with one I owned. I'm an EZ Robot/Synthiam kind of guy.

Wait! Dave put up a new video! Time to make a bowl of popcorn and a drink! Nice mod Dave! But I don't think you will have it done and back together in time for the Artemis I flight on Saturday! May we can get him on the next flight! 🚀 LOL! 🤣 Thanks for sharing ! 😎👍

Popcorn is the bomb! Lots of butter and salt though. Sorry about the time line though. The rock is just going to have to do without B9. Maybe the next launch?

That looks like a small fortune in little parts. I've had to build stuff like this, and when I go back and add it all up, I end up getting shocked at what I spent.

I agree. My trick is simply not to go back and add it all up. LOL.

I have been watching these videos a long time and love how your B9 Robot continues to evolve, if you could live long enough I bet this thing would become sentient one day. :)

Looks great! Just getting motivated again. Haven’t done much on my b9 project since 2010. I’ve seen your FB posts and you’re local to me. Maybe I’d be lucky enough to see work in person….?

Wonderful engineering. I notice all your gears appear to be dry. I wonder if some type of lubricant or gear lube would help to quiet the mechanism?
