I love it, takes me back to the time when I was 11/12 yrs old. Everything about lost in space is still classic. This epic show set the trend & standard for all science fiction today. Wish I could go back in time & relive every viewing moment as an youngster. I felt for the Robinson family, don't know how they survived but, they always found a way. I still watch it on Hulu today can't get enough! Wish someone would make a contemporary version or series of Lost in Space. The recent movie for lost in space was blah however, the Jupiter 2 blasting off in this movie was the best I ever seen since the original series. Whoever u r this video is genius, u fully understood what we lost in space fans miss & dearly hold true to our hearts, make some more I'm eager to see what you have next. Thank u!

At first, I thought this was “The Return” to Earth, (although from space it didn’t look like Earth). Then I thought, “Damn, they landed in the one area of earth that looked EXACTLY like the planet they left”!! LOL!!

Now I understand. This is an alternative storyline after “Island in the Sky”, when Smith ordered the Robot to blast off and leave the Robinsons behind. In this timeline, the Robot WAS able to pilot the ship! Sometime later in space, something causes the Robot’s original programming to kick back in, so he turns the Jupiter back around to rescue the Robinsons!!! Very clever!! But what happened to Smith? Did the Robot force him back into the freezing tube? Toast him with his claw charge? Better yet, jettison him out into space through the airlock??

Does the name Lee Gordon mean anything? LEE= KRCG TV 13 CBS/ABC Jefferson City Mo. He retired as the weather man but even as important Lee was also the producer of Ozark Mountain Opry , was Count Lee during the 1960's. "The Count" introduced the late scary movie every Saturday night and then powered down KRCG @ midnight. He was also Santa during the holidays. According to one news article Lee had allot to do with the programing of CBS.

How many times have how many Sci Fi shows or movies used that same patch of rocky countryside as a backdrop? I remember at least TWO Star Trek episodes there.
@johnmarx39193 жыл бұрын
that's Vasquez Rocks and there were actually FOUR Star Trek epidodes shot there: Arena, Shore Leave, the Alternative Factor, and Friday's Child.

Of course the robot can fly the ship alone, since he can directly interface with all its functions. He would be designed to take over while the robinson slept, if any major computer malfunctioned and repair it.
@Geezer-yf8hv3 жыл бұрын
Yes, of course he would have, or should have had that ability. His inability was simply a plot device. 3rd episode, when Smith had total control of the robot, Smith wanted to fly away while the Robinsons were away. Robot stated he wasn’t programmed to do that.

Nice job... Too bad the 'Lost in Space' movie, which was a follow-up to the series, and not a remake, but using all or most of the original actors, was not made... Jonathan Harris's death prevented filming, just as it was to commence.
