Alright, for anyone struggling I finally beat him. Here is my strategy (everyone is level 13 except Jansen, he was level 12): Formation: Kaim - front, everyone else to the back. Kaim: Don't heal with him unless you absolutely have to. Drink the power drink first turn. Then make sure you have the fire ring equipped. Spam attack every turn. Jansen: Spam flare as much as possible. He most likely will die and don't be tempted to revive him until you absolutely can waste a turn doing it and not get KO'd. Seth: Use Seth as just a healer and defender. Make sure you have the move learned where you defend and it raises your GC. Never let your GC drain to 0 or else that'll be GG well played to you. Using this strategy you should be able to beat him. If you absolutely can't, keep trying and maybe grind a bit. I have no idea why they made the save point after the boss but it's an amazing feeling to see it after you beat this bitch of a boss. Keep trying everyone! And pray to God that he doesn't use that AOE attack twice in a row.

Is a matter of look also, because in my session the boss keep spamming the air attack over and over and is impossible to beat him(maybe my copy has a bug or something).

I love how Final Fantasy-esque Lost Odyssey is, especially the battle system. Almost like Final Fantasy VIII. Final Fantasy hasn't been the same without Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu. The only thing missing is Tetsuya Nomura for the character designs. Then it would have been a Final Fantasy clone through and through

This boss is tuned a little too hard imo. 1-shotting Jensen and just attacking jensen over and over is freaking cheap, especially since he has the only magic stat worth a damn to do any serious damage to the boss. What a frustrating boss.

You just heal spam Jensen with Seth and there's nothing to it really. It definitely is a huge jump though compared to the baby monsters you fight on the way.

I guess I got lucky with this boss, Beat it first try and it only used downburst twicd....I actually found the numara soldiers when you encounter mack and cooke harder than this fight (cavalry rush such a bullshit move)
