You two are absolute warriors! What an incredible ride in this video. Admittedly, I felt bad for you while at the same time giggling at Chad's impromptu commentary. Those roads were crazy, especially on a big bike, 2Up, and fully loaded. Props to you! Most impressive of all, I love how kind you are to each other. Hey Chad, thanks for creating a new word: mapholes! Now I feel bad about making a video roasting Garmin. I had it easy. Lol. Thanks again for another brilliant video.

Friggin' mapholes!!! 😀 Thank you, sir! We appreciate the kind words! But, to set the record straight... we're not ALWAYS that kind to each other. It's just that in the videos, it's difficult to see Rose slapping the back of my helmet. 😅

The colours of those wee villages and towns are so in keeping with the rest of the country.... superb Thanks for taking us along with you Lesson for today ?? ... Hi Rose & Chad, Great video. I haven’t checked-in in a while, my fault. I want to ride Peru. Your Spanish is real good, I’m impressed, I’m sure getting better everyday. I’m still trying to learn Spanish, every day a lesson for 2 years. I want to go back to South America. Que le vaya bien mis amigos.
@TwoWheelsThreeSheets6 күн бұрын
Thanks! I'm not sure our Spanish qualifies as really good, but it's certainly passable... A little Spanish goes a long way, so If you've been taking lessons for 2 years, I'm guessing you'll do just fine! I would certainly recommend riding Peru if you ever have the chance!!! 💪

Interesting names these places have, what an ordeal traveling that road. Enjoyed
@TwoWheelsThreeSheets6 күн бұрын
Thanks for joining us! Most of the names are compound Quechua words....
@andrewthacker1146 күн бұрын
@ Quechua I guess are the indigenous or Indian people?
@TwoWheelsThreeSheets6 күн бұрын
@@andrewthacker114 Yes! Quechua is the 2nd most spoken language in Peru. A lot of the names of Peruvian cities are derived from Quechua. Both "Pampa" and "Bamba" are fields or flatlands. Likely Pampa is highland flatlands and Bamba is lowland flatlands (but don't quote me on that). "Cocha" means lake... and like a lot of languages, they use compound words. So "Cochabamba" would be a city on the shore of a lake in the lowlands plains, and "Cochapampa" would be a city on the shore of a lake in the highlands plains...

@ I bet it’s a difficult language to understand, but you gave a few examples thank you. Their culture must be interesting. Thanks for sharing and explaining.

Always nice watching you guys, my wife and I are leaving in 2025 from Europe and shipping the bike to Brasil. We will be riding some of the same tracks so thanks for sharing. We will also be 2up on the AT, any suggestions on things we should bring with us for the AT? Or modifiy? thanks
@TwoWheelsThreeSheets6 күн бұрын
Awesome - Good on you for not passing on Brazil. Too many riders just stick to the West Coast on their way to Ushuaia! As far at the AT - buy the BEST & STIFFEST suspension you can afford and have it properly set-up for your intended load. That's the #1 thing to do! Aside from that, crash bars, a bash plate... and carry a couple sets of rear brake pads and (possibly) spare clutch plates if you plan on riding a lot of challenging dirt tracks!

Hey there, Rob! I (Chad) have been exploring South America for over 20 years now, about 5 of those on a moto. After visiting every country (except Venezuela), and crossing the Amazon, I finally feel as though I'm ready to move on. South America is such an amazing and diverse continent, that I really wanted to take my time and soak in as much as I could. Our next adventure will indeed be in the Himalayas. Stay tuned!!

Road development projects can fall into the equivalent of a "Malthusian trap". Roads increase entails quality decrease, and predictably backroads become traps.

Hello, My brother’s been watching your videos for sometime now and he’s convinced me to start watching yours. Nothing like a good KZbin video. I was going through my photos on my laptop the other day and I noticed so many of my pictures were off. Some of them Were too bright. And others I just had to delete. But what I’ve noticed in some videos that people create is people tend to focus on what’s wrong instead of what’s right or it just comes out that way. I guess what I’m saying is if you could do a way with the motorcycle shield as a lot of people do including itchy, boots, and many others. We would be able to see a better view in front of you instead of looking at a motorcycle shield. I hope you take this as constructive criticism and that you have good luck with your future endeavors. I continue to watch. See you on the road.

Hi there! Welcome to the channel and thank you for the feedback. All of our footage for Season 4 is already "in the can," but I will definitely take that into consideration for season #5.
