I have this model, 2007 Shelby mustang GT. My number is 1232 and it has 10,500 miles on it now. Black with the silver stripes and 5 speed transmission. Love this car, very fun to drive.

Not under valued I see people ask 30k and sometimes gt500 prices. I would’ve love to have one and do a full interior/drivetrain swap from a 2011-2014 gt500. Still a Shelby but a sleeper since not many people know what it is

Love this video! I suspect my SGT2102 is in one of those pictures. Test drove a GT500 and the SGT and came away with the SGT. It is a very easy car to daily drive, nimble and responsive. We still own it! Many thanks for making this video.

THE REASON WHY SHELBY AMERICAN BUILT THE SHELBY GT CAR'S IS BECAUSE PEOPLE RENTED THE 06 HERTZ AND LOVED THE CAR AND ASKED SHELBY AMERICAN IF THEY WOULD BUILD A VERSION OF THE 06 HERTZ AND THAT'S HOW THE SHELBY GT WAS BORN.

Great video. I bought the white ShelbyGT new and have driven it very little. My wife asked me why I have it and don’t use it and I tell her that it’s like owning the Mona Lisa. You wouldn’t take it off the wall of museum and carry it around town showing it off. She rolls her eyes.

I own several mustangs and although it’s nice to have low mileage, I always drive them when I feel like I’m not driving them enough. I’m worth the miles I put on them.

I've got a white Shelby GT also but I drive it almost every day. Absolutely love the car. .I'm sure if Mr Shelby was still around he'd say, get out and drive that thing! Enjoy it!!

In 2007, I was told ford made about 5600 of the Shelby GT with black/silver stripes and white/silver stripes. This was the year ford was considering discontinuing the mustang, then they brought it back.

I’ve seen a few for sale lately that were really run down and affordable. I was tempted to buy one. Revan Evan just did a cool video of one that is a test car at ford and they have a coyote in it.

I was able to test drive one in late 07, it was a white one. Nice driving car, but it wasn't as fast as my 03 Mach 1. It did handle better. The dealer wanted my Mach for a trade in. I just couldn't do it. I like the Mach 1 to much. Nice car though!

These cars were only available in white or black with silver stripes in 07, I believe. In 08, they brought out Vista Blue and Grabber Orange too. But Black 08s would have had red stripes and I don’t know if they still had white in 08. I don’t see any Vista Blue ones in the pix, so I would say these are probably 07s. The Grabber Orange cars probably became Shelby GT-C cars (California-only), which were the first of the 08 cars produced.

This was a nice bio, I recall when I was in middle school, and the Shelby GT-H came out, I read about it in DuPont Registry I believe. It's definitely among my top5 favorite mustangs.

I could see myself in an 07 black and gold hard top SGT. I cannot stand the 3V tho, it would have to be coyote swapped and SC. It cannot look like it’s fast af and be an NA 3V. That’s my biggest beef with these things.

GT-H were 2006 MY cars... B & W were 2007 MY... Vista Blue / Orange / Black & Red were all 2008 MY. Mine was built in Aug '07 and Shelby modified in Oct.

In my area they ask too much for them used. They are asking 20-28 with some miles and you can get into a GT500 for 32-33. I realize most GT500s are more rn but approaching 90,000 miles and a door ding or two, $32,000 seems reasonable. So, for $7,000 more you get the 5.4 4V SC. Yeah, it’s gonna be the GT500 for me.

Yeah you have to realize that $7k more isn’t too much to ask when you consider that you couldn’t change the car to a SC 5.4L for $7k

Funny, I just received the latest issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines and it has a buyer's guide for the 2007-2009 generation of GT500s. Well, I'm not sure where that magazine is getting their value guide from, but it listed those years of GT500 values between $5,000 and $12,000! Of course a disclaimer stating that market demand and vehicle condition can alter prices. I've never seen a 1st gen S197 GT500 for less than $18,000, and that was with a salvage title! Most are easily over $25,000, and those are the 50,000+ mileage ones.

Cool cars but not for me either. The 3V is less reliable with all the cam phaser issues. I see 05-09 GT’s selling for less than new edge cars all the time.

@@justin.c_svt yea I can certainly see that happening! I thought they were so ugly when they came out too 😄. The new edge, like the Supra, has a timeless look. It almost looks like a body that could have been released now! They were ahead of their time on it I think.

Have you ever had the problem with water in the rear spoiler? I was getting the Mach 1 Spoiler and heard water in it and then went to my original spoiler and nothing weird huh

I’m not sure what color it is by code. Maybe that spoiler got submerged in water or say upside down in the rain
