Is the rocker similar to the quiver killer?
@REALWatersports5 жыл бұрын
Ryan, super similar but the little difference is important. The quiver killer has about a quarter inch more tail rocker, which makes sense. It has more rocker to cover a larger ranger of waves, whereas the Uber Driver XL is meant more of a performer-groveler to has a less aggressive tail rocker.

Thanks for the reply...i love my quiver killer...so overall this board is a performance 1-4 ft groveler with less rocker?
@REALWatersports5 жыл бұрын
@@ryantherock7664 glad you're stoked on the Quiver Killer, they definitely rip. And yea that's pretty much it, they can cover a little higher than that if you're trying to figure out your quiver, but for the most part, thrive in smaller and even mushy surf.

REAL Watersports the nose looks similar to the fullish nose of the qk...is that a correct assumption?

How different is this board to the V3 Rocket? I have a Psycho Killer and I don't like it. Could this replace my old V3 and newer Psycho?

@@soulsurfer3102 Unfortunately never ridden The CI Weido Ripper. V3 was my one board quiver. I pretty much rode it in everything from knee to double overhead. My best conditions in it were around door height. I only rode it as a thruster but I heard it excelled as quad in heavier surf. Make sure your tail pad is far back as possible. Also stomp on that tail when surfing it.

surfer i rode a weirdo ripper and also UPGRADED to a sub driver so feel i can help out. The sub driver is a generation before the Uber driver, which came before the Uber driver XL. The sub driver surfs similarly to the Weirdo but there's a bit more foam under the chest which helped paddling and getting up and running in weak surf. I loved the wierdo when it turned on a little, but there are much better boards when there's less power in the surf. After surfing the sub driver a lot and absolutely loving it, I decided that I wanted a little less rocker in it as it tends to bog down a tad (the weirdo is even worse) and essentially that's what they've done with the Uber Drivers. A bit shorter to make it easier to swing around and a faster rocker, but still forgiving. Also easier to surf all round apparently (due to width & rails). I reckon you'd absolutely love it coming from a WR. It'll be a huge upgrade while feeling and reacting similarly to what you're used to. BTW i'm here because i'm trying to decide between this or a CI Rocket Wide. Two similar boards but i'm hearing mixed opinions about which one has a bigger wave range. My gut's telling me the XL is SLIGHTY less grovelly than the Rocket Wide. I can't imagine either would be a bad choice.
