Triggered my abandonment issues too. I can feel the sadness of all us kids globally who ere rejected and she spoke for all of us in this scene. You could tell the other actors felt it too. Even though I cried too, I also felt validated. Thanks to the author, to the actors. This is why I'm hooked on Chinese dramas. Amazing. You just can't get this level of excellence in Hollywood.❤

I really hate I began watching this. I definitely won’t watch season 2. I don’t want to see Xiang Liu die. The previews look so tragic. And her ending up with Tu Shang is too boring. He was a very sweet guy but to be perfectly honest I fast forwarded through most of their interactions after a while. I think I would be more interested in reading the novel. If I can just find it 😔 The actors were all excellent actors. Yang Zi did an especially good job.

If she just stopped looking like a man, then she could easily get away without implicating shiqing. I really don’t understand why he continues to do so much for her. She’s rude until she needs something and then goes back to treating him like trash. Why be so nice and forgiving to the demon who’s hurt her terribly, along with the 40 lashes and even almost killed her on numerous occasions. Shiqing hid when he thought he would be recognized and she acted like he was the worst person in the world. He apologized sincerely and she still uses him. The demon has no remorse and continues to abuse her and she is nice to him. Makes me want to slap some sense into her 😡
